Annie Park's run in the U.S. Women's Amateur ended Friday in the quarterfinal round with a loss, 6 and 4, to Yueer Cindy Feng of Orlando, Fla.

The Levittown golfer, who won the NCAA title for USC, then played in the U.S. Women's Open at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, had made strong back nine charges in her previous two matches, including an all-Long Island Round of 16 victory over Kelly Shon of Port Washington. But Feng won the seventh through 11th holes and clinched it on No. 14.

Park's next chance in the Women's Amateur will be next year, when it is at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove.

Zahringer wins. George Zahringer of Manhattan, a top-flight amateur player in the New York area for decades, won the British Senior Amateur Championship by a stroke Friday at Royal Aberdeen in Scotland. He shot 74 in the final round and had a total of 218 for three rounds.
