Dustin Johnson reached the par-5 18th in two, while McDowell's 83-yard third shot went a little long, settling on the back of the green.
Johnson two-putted for birdie, ends up with a 66 for the round and is -6 for the tourney. McDowells two-putt gave him a par.
Johnson has a three-shot lead over McDowell (-3) and a five-shot cushion over Tiger headed into the final round.
This tournament is Johnson's to win (or lose).
It sure did not look like this would be the case early on, but Tiger is contention on Sunday. Ernie Els is at even for the tourney and is within sniffing distance of the lead group.
