Lido's Horowitz fires 63 in Met Open

Joseph Horowitz of Lido Golf Club shot 7-under-par 63 in the second round of the Met Open Wednesday and moved into contention to win one of the biggest area tournaments of the season. Horowitz made eight birdies and one bogey at Sleepy Hollow Country Club, former site of a Champions Tour event.

"Early in my career, I probably would have faltered a little bit, but being 32 and playing professional golf for eight years, at this point, you get to that number and you just want more," he said after having moved to 3 under for the tournament and trailing by a shot. "That's a nice feeling, that you can trust your swing and your mental stability enough that you just want more birdies."
