D'Amadeo's single helps Bellport to comeback win

Frank D'Amadeo scored Steve Seidman with a single in the bottom of the seventh inning as Bellport overcame a three-run deficit for a 4-3 win over Half Hollow Hills West Tuesday in Suffolk League IV baseball.

Bellport (5-2), which was held hitless by Hills West's T.J. Pecoraro through 62/3 innings, scored all four of its runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh.

Dilan Kern got the Clippers on the board when he singled to drive in Garrett Clark. Robert McCay followed three batters later with a two-run single to tie the score at 3. Pecoraro had 14 strikeouts. Clark pitched a scoreless seventh to get the win for Bellport.

Sachem North 3, Bay Shore 1: Dan D'Orazio struck out eight and walked four in a four-hitter for Sachem North (4-1) in League II. D'Orazio went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run. Brendan Garry was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.Smithtown East 2, Half Hollow Hills East 0: Matt Gavin had five strikeouts in a two-hitter for Smithtown East (4-0) in League III. Gavin hasn't allowed a run in three starts this season. Danny Dispenza's pinch-hit single in the bottom of the sixth scored Kenny Anello to make it 1-0 for Smithtown East.Port Jefferson 5, Pierson/Bridgehampton 4: Billy Crowe hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth and Ryan Ward pitched a six-hitter to lead PJ (3-4) in League VIII.Uniondale 10, Hempstead 2: Joel Rotestan struck out 10 in a one-hitter for Uniondale (3-1) in Nassau Conference AA-II. Riky Sanchez went 2-for-4 with four RBIs and Brandon Matos 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Clarke 8, Plainedge 7: Tom Fusco hit a two-run homer in the fifth and a three-run homer in the seventh for Clarke (7-2) in Conference A-I. John Radice had a two-run homer and struck out the side in the bottom of the seventh for the save.Cold Spring Harbor 5, Locust Valley 4: Kenny Lamb singled to score Evan Solomon in the bottom of the eighth to win it for Cold Spring Harbor (6-4) in Conference BC. Matt Bertuch allowed one earned run in six innings for CSH.

Friends Academy 13, East Rockaway 12: Leo Gussack had a grand slam and Chris Crowley hit a two-run homer during an eight-run seventh as Friends (4-4) overcame a 9-5 deficit in Conference BC. David McClure hit a three-run homer for East Rockaway.

Lawrence Woodmere Academy 15, Bay Ridge Prep 0: Freshman Jakob Cayne pitched a no-hitter with one walk and 12 strikeouts and added a home run and three runs for LWA (3-3) in PSAA. Holden Collick had a homer and two RBIs and Austin Rosenthal was 3-for-4 with an RBI.BOYS TRACK

Baldwin wins. Ieshawn Johnson won the discus (151 feet, 9 inches), Jovaughn Tomlinson won the high jump (6-0) and James Lowe won the 110 hurdles (14.7 seconds) as Baldwin (74 points) topped Oceanside (53) and Uniondale (44) in a Conference I meet.Herricks victorious. Jack McGuire won the 200 in 2:02.9, Jerry Choi took the 400 hurdles (57.9) and 110 hurdles (15.9) and Aakaash Pillalamarri won the mile (4:38.6) and 2-mile (10:39.0) as Herricks (100.5) beat Freeport (83.5), Hicksville (29.5) and Plainview (27.5) in Conference I.

Southampton 72, Wyandanch 61: Nick Collazos won the 800 (2:13.0), the 1,600 (4:51.0) and the 3,200 (10:48.0) and anchored the winning 4 x 800 relay for Southampton.GIRLS TRACK

Garden City prevails. Alexis Yeboah-Kodie set a school record in the triple jump (34-6) for Garden City, which topped Wantagh (92), Long Beach (25) and Elmont (15). The previous record was 33-10. Emily Menges tied the school record in the 200 meters (25.0) and Michelle Rotondo won the 400 hurdles (1:03.1) and the 100 hurdles (15.0).

BOYS TENNIS

Cold Spring Harbor 5, Horace Mann 2:Josh Levine defeated Brenton Anaboldi, 6-0, 6-1, at first singles and Eric Ambrosio beat Andrew Anaboldi, 6-0, 6-1, at second singles to lead Cold Spring Harbor over Horace Mann, the two-time defending New York City Ivy League Conference Champion.GIRLS BADMINTON

Bellmore JFK 5, Great Neck South 2:Jenna Coluccio and Shelby Blane beat Henna Khanigou and Nancy Simon in second doubles, 21-18, 17-21, 22-20, to lead Bellmore JFK (3-4) in Conference I. Coluccio and Blane overcame a three-point deficit in the third game to clinch the match.
