Dorrien Van Dyke has four goals to help Northport advance in Class A

Dorrien Van Dyke scored all four of her goals in the second half as No. 7 Northport rallied to stun second-seeded West Islip, 12-9, in a Suffolk Class A girls lacrosse quarterfinal.

Allie Pavinelli had four goals and two assists and Victoria D'Amato added three assists as Northport (13-5) overcame a 6-4 halftime deficit. Northport will play at No. 3 Ward Melville in a semifinal Wednesday at 4 p.m. Long Island Lutheran 16, Rye Country Day School 13: Nicole Sinacori had seven goals and three assists, Carolyn Dottino had seven goals and two assists and Sam Horton made 13 saves to lead No. 3 Long Island Lutheran (14-6) in a NYSAIS semifinal. Lutheran will play in the final Wednesday at 1:30 at Manhattanville College.BASEBALL

Clarke 4, Island Trees 0: Joe Fusco pitched a two-hitter with a walk and six strikeouts to lead No. 3 Clarke (19-5) in Game 1 of the Nassau Class A best-of-three semifinal. Mike Gismondi hit an RBI triple in the third to open the scoring and Jason Garcia added a two-run single in the fourth for the final margin. Game 2 is Tuesday at Island Trees at 4:30.

Glenn 6, Rocky Point 1: James Groark struck out three and didn't give up an earned run in a four-hitter to lift No. 7 Glenn (13-10) in the first round of the Suffolk Class A loser's bracket. Mike Mannix had two RBIs for Glenn, which will play at No. 4 Miller Place Wednesday at 4.


Commack 2, Smithtown East 0: Kiersten Carlomagno struck out 14 in a one-hitter for No. 2 Commack (18-2) in a Suffolk Class AA first-round game. Carlomagno drove in Julie McDonald with a single in the first to give Commack a 1-0 lead. Erin Morrissey scored Kristen Andrews with a single in the sixth for the final margin. Commack hosts No. 10 Sachem East in the second round Wednesday at 4.

Half Hollow Hills West 5, Lindenhurst 4: Reneé Pino scored Chrissy Spinelli with a double in the bottom of the 10th to win it for No. 5 Hills West (16-4). Francesca Casalino struck out 10, walked four and scattered five hits in a complete game for Hills West, which will play at No. 4 Hauppauge in a second-round game Wednesday at 4 p.m.Sachem East 4, West Islip 3: Cassie Asselta's RBI single plated Amanda Fitzgerald in the top of the seventh to win it for Sachem East (15-6) in a Class AA first-round game. Marissa Wilson had a two-run homer and Katie Tibbetts had a home run for Sachem East, which plays at No. 2 Commack (18-2) in the second round at 4 p.m. Wednesday.BOYS GOLF

CHSAA team championship.Matt DiConza and Ken Doyle each shot 2-over 74 on the front nine at Eisenhower Blue and finished tied for third as Chaminade (389) won its fifth CHSAA boys dual match golf championship in six years. St. John the Baptist's Mark Reilly (73) beat Holy Trinity's Chris Lambrou in a sudden-death playoff for first place. Holy Trinity (392) took second, followed by St. Anthony's (407) and Kellenberg (417). Kellenberg's Ryan Ilardi and Colin Warren (Holy Trinity) each shot a 75 to tie for fourth.


CHSAA Individual Tournament.Sacred Heart's Stephanie Sullivan shot 9-over 81 on the front nine at Eisenhower Blue and finished first at the CHSAA Individual golf championship. Teammate Tatiana Reali finished second (83), while Kellenberg's Nicolette Dilluvio took third with 84. Sacred Heart's Katie Boyle (89), Kellenberg's Lindsey Oliva (95) and St. Anthony's Juliana Buff (95) took fourth through sixth, respectively. BOYS BADMINTON

Smithtown East 5, Smithtown West 4:Ken Barthman defeated James Hubbs, 15-11, 12-15, 15-12, in the deciding first singles match for No. 2 Smithtown East (12-3) in a Suffolk semifinal. Smithtown East plays the winner of Miller Place and Hills West in the final Wednesday at 4 p.m.Half Hollow Hills 7, Miller Place 2: Alfred Shim defeated Liam Warren, 15-8, 13-15, 15-2, in second singles for No. 1 Half Hollow Hills in a Suffolk semifinal. Half Hollow Hills will play No. 2 Smithtown East in the championship at Hills East Tuesday at 4 p.m. TENNIS

Half Hollow Hills East 6, Ward Melville 1:Jeff Cherkin and Travis Leaf defeated Cole Laffitte and Matt Baruch, 6-2, 3-6, (10-3), in first doubles to lead No. 1 Half Hollow Hills East (18-0) in a Suffolk team semifinal. Hills East will play Hills West in the final Wednesday at Smithtown East.

Half Hollow Hills West 5, Commack 2:Aziz Rashidzada defeated Cory Feltman, 6-2, 7-5, at first singles to lead No. 2 Half Hollow Hills West (16-2) in a Suffolk semifinal.
