Joe Greco's two-run single in seventh lifts Bellport past West Babylon

Joe Greco's two-run single highlighted a five-run seventh that led Bellport over West Babylon, 7-4, in Suffolk League V baseball Monday.

Nick Dunning went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Mike Veit went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Connor Lyons, who won in relief, went 2-for-4 with two RBIs for Bellport (2-1). West Babylon is 2-1.

Islip 7, Harborfields 6: Anthony Navarro's RBI single in the seventh broke a tie at 6 to lead Islip (1-2) in League VI. Islip's Tyler Fitzpatrick tied it in the seventh with an RBI single. Andy Lewis went 2-for-5 with three runs and Paul DiMauro went 3-for-4.Lindenhurst 5, Connetquot 4: Matt Riselvato hit a three-run double in the fifth inning to break a tie at 1 and lead Lindenhurst (1-2) in League II. Austin Perri's RBI single tied the score at 1 for Lindenhurst in the fifth inning. Casey Michalowski got his first two varsity hits for Lindenhurst.

Ward Melville 2, Longwood 1: Joe Flynn doubled and scored on Troy Davern's two-out single in the bottom of the sixth to break a tie at 1 and lead Ward Melville (2-0) in League I. Joe Barbieri threw a four-hitter with five strikeouts and a walk and Joe Rosselli went 2-for-2.Patchogue-Medford 4, Floyd 3: Andrew Garcia threw a three-hitter, allowing one earned run and striking out five to lead Patchogue-Medford (4-0) in League I. Ron Linsalato went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.Seaford 6, Mineola 5: Jake Doyle hit a walk-off single scoring Lucas Hall in Seaford's (2-2) Conference A-IV win. Doyle went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBIs. Matt Pugliese allowed three earned runs and seven hits and struck out five in a complete game to earn his first varsity win.New Hyde Park 8, Sewanhaka 6: Kyle Cajigas drove in James Messina with a single in the top of the 10th to lead New Hyde Park (2-2) in Conference A-I. Cajigas also earned the win, allowing one run and two hits in four innings of relief.

Bethpage 5, Lynbrook 4: Nick Marrotta went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Nick Calvacca went 2-for-3 with two RBIs to lead Bethpage (2-2) in Conference A-III. Marrotta's RBI single in the sixth inning gave Bethpage a 5-3 lead. Kyle Collins threw a six-hitter with two strikeouts. MacArthur 9, Calhoun 5: Ryan Cunningham hit a two-run double during a four-run ninth to lead MacArthur (1-0) in a Conference AA-III/IV crossover. Vin Martino's RBI groundout broke a tie at 5 for MacArthur. James Barrett drove in Brian Perez with an RBI single to tie the game at 5 with two outs in the seventh inning. Winning pitcher Bobby Lewis allowed four hits, no walks and one unearned run with three strikeouts in six innings of relief.

Mepham 10, Plainview JFK 9: Joe Bellairs hit a three-run double in the third to give Mepham (1-0) a 7-4 lead in a Conference AA-III/IV crossover. Tom Muraca went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and Jake Frenchman struck out nine and allowed two earned runs in five innings.
