Roundup: Fiorillo bowls 300 game for Wantagh

Sophomore Ryan Fiorillo rolled a 300 in Game 2 of a 740 series for Wantagh in an 800-748, 922-732, 879-759 win over MacArthur Monday in Nassau Conference VII boys bowling. It's his first career 300. Fiorillo had 19 strikes in a row over Games 1, 2 and 3.

Great Neck North 3, Port Washington 0: Alon Kalavres bowled a 267 in Game 3 of a 604 series for Great Neck North in a 584-557, 643-618, 742-552 win over Port Washington. The 267 is a Con I season high.

GIRLS BOWLING

Sachem North 3, Comsewogue 0: Alyssa Cotrone rolled a 224 in Game 1 of a 644 series for Sachem North in a 932-855, 870-765, 895-748 win in League I. Kathryn Rivera had a 243 in Game 1 for Sachem North.Commack 2, North Babylon 1: Alanna Norotsky had a 230 in Game 2 and a 224 in Game 3 of a 615 series for Commack in a a 758-888, 932-839, 916-833 win. Sarah Rubinson had a 632 series for North Babylon.

East Islip 3, Bay Shore 0: Tara Ernst rolled a 223 in Game 3 of a 615 series for East Islip in a 907-638, 948-609, 922-652 win. Eighth-grader Nichole Baione had a 212 in Game 3 for East Islip.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Uniondale 58, Hempstead 46: Goey Charles had 15 points and Bolade Akingboye 12 points and nine rebounds for Uniondale (6-0) in Conference AA-I. Shaquille Mosley had nine points and five assists, Maurice Kearney had 11 rebounds and Claudy Casseus eight rebounds for Uniondale.

Herricks 61, Great Neck South 59: Shaan Rahi (23 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and five blocked shots) scored on a putback with one minute left in overtime to give Herricks (2-3) a 59-58 lead in AA-II. Andrew Fellus hit two free throws with 15 seconds left to make it 61-58. Stephen Ambrosio scored on a jumper with four seconds left in regulation for GNS (2-3) to tie the score at 51. Dennis Vamvakas had 18 points and five rebounds in the win.Hicksville 54, Massapequa 44: John Petrucelli had 18 points and eight rebounds and Terry Brennan (16 points) hit five threes for Hicksville (4-1) in AA-II. Jonathan Egan had eight rebounds and four blocks for Hicksville.

Plainview JFK 55, Bellmore JFK 52: Zach Amateau scored 23 points and Jordan Lefkowitz made 1 of 2 free throws with six seconds left to provide the final margin for Plainview JFK (5-0) in AA-III. Bellmore JFK missed a three-pointer at the buzzer. Corey Maiorana had 13 points and five rebounds.

Mepham 64, Calhoun 53: Steve Luczaj had 23 points and seven assists and Doug Marshall 16 points and 12 rebounds for Mepham (1-3) in AA-III. J.C. Brandmaier had 12 rebounds and Chris Shavins seven offensive rebounds for Mepham.

Wyandanch 68, Port Jefferson 58: Senior Saheam King had career highs in points (24) and rebounds (15) and Qualice Jones had 12 points and eight assists for Wyandanch (5-0) in League VII. Greg Nielsen's 19 points led Port Jeff.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Floyd 49, Commack 36: Monique Walker had 25 points and 12 rebounds and went 16-for-17 from the free-throw line for Floyd (4-1) in League I.Division 53, Elmont 34: Nicolette Parmese had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Division (5-0) in Conference ABC-I.

Locust Valley 38, Oyster Bay 36: Alexis Monserrate hit a runner with two seconds left to win it for Locust Valley (2-3) in ABC-II. Keri Bongiovanni (13 points) made a three-pointer with 12 seconds left to tie it at 36 for Oyster Bay. Isabel Pagliaccio had 11 points and eight rebounds for Locust Valley.

Sewanhaka 37, Island Trees 33: Gabby Ford made the back end of a one-and-one with five seconds remaining to provide the final margin for Sewanhaka (4-2) in ABC-IV. Ford finished with 15 rebounds and seven steals. Katie Hogan had 16 rebounds. Maggie Milonakis had a game-high 13 points for Island Trees.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS

Oceanside 171.6, Bethpage 147.6: Oceanside set a school record for total points, breaking the mark of 171.4 set in 2008. Paige McCarthy won the all-around with a 35.7, including a 9.4 on beam. Diana Tolaj scored 35.15 in all-around for Oceanside.

Plainview JFK 165.5, Carle Place 144.15: Victoria Vitale won the all-around (33.75) and Melissa Kropf won floor (9.1) for Plainview JFK.

Sewanhaka District 155, Long Beach 140.7: Marisa Baccarella won all-around (34.05) and floor (9.3), and Britta Hallock won beam (8.8) for Sewanhaka.

WRESTLING

Westhampton wins West Islip Duals. Westhampton went 4-0, including a 29-18 win over West Babylon in the final, to win the West Islip Duals on Saturday.
