Couple claim they were injured at Rye Playland

NEWS 12 WESTCHESTER: The couple says they were injured riding the Playland Yo-Yo last Thursday. (August 13, 2012)

A couple from Georgia are claiming they were injured on a ride at Rye Playland last week.

Annmarie and Tony Tedeschi said they were injured riding on the Playland Yo-Yo. They are saying the swings on the ride began to sway, causing them to bang into each other.

Tony Tedeschi says he was hit in the back of the head. His wife was hurt on her left side.

The Tedeschis, who grew up in the area but are now living in Atlanta, say their injuries were ignored by Playland staff until they went to a first aid station. Once at the first aid station, they were taken by ambulance to White Plains Hospital for treatment and released.

The couple say they were shocked at how Playland staff treated them and are now wondering who will foot the bill for their injuries.
