David McClure wins it in second overtime for East Rockaway basketball

David McClure had 22 points, including two free throws with 10 seconds left in the second overtime as East Rockaway edged Lynbrook, 66-63, Saturday in a non-league boys basketball game.

McClure added six rebounds and six assists in the win and made two free throws with 30 seconds left in the fourth to force overtime. Billy Humes added 23 points in the win.

Lynbrook's John Boni hit a three-pointer from the corner with 14 seconds left in the first overtime to force double OT.

Oyster Bay 58, Cold Spring Harbor 53: David Carl had 14 points and hit four free throws in the final 20 seconds to seal the win for Oyster Bay in Nassau Conference BC. Austin Seamen and Jason Velasquez each added 11 points in the win. GIRLS BASKETBALL

Kellenberg 45, John F. Kennedy 41: Kaitlyn Stackpole (12 points, 9 rebounds) hit a jumper with 3:30 left in the fourth to give Kellenberg a 41-39 lead at the St. Anthony's Winter Classic. Candace Belvedere had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the win.North Shore 59, Midwood 44: Alexandra Cantwell had 12 points, 11 steals and 10 rebounds for North Shore at the St. Anthony's Winter Classic. Caroline Roberts had a career-high 25 points and Samantha Capobianco posted career highs with 13 points and 16 rebounds.


Bonhurst sets marks. Smithtown West's Benjamin Bonhurst set a new meet and school record in the shot put with a throw of 57 feet, 7.5 inches at the Jim Mitchell Invitational on Friday. Michael McCann won the high jump with a leap of 6-8 for Smithtown West.
