Dunne wins it for Hills East boys with :03 left

Ryan Dunne hit a running floater in the paint with three seconds left to give Half Hollow Hills East a 61-59 win over North Babylon last night in a Suffolk League III boys basketball game.

Dunne, who finished with a season-high 20 points, hit two free throws with a minute left and tied the score at 59. Hakan Saribas added 15 points for Hills East (1-2).

Devonte Green had 20 points for North Babylon.

Sayville 60, Kings Park 46: Chris Lowe hit five three-pointers and scored nine of his game-high 22 points during a 33-23 second half as Sayville (2-3) handed Kings Park (4-1) its first League V loss. Neil Fishenden had 18 points and Pat O'Connor scored all of 11 of his points in the second half. Joe Konopski had 10 points to lead Kings Park.Riverhead 61, Eastport-South Manor 53: Diquan Trent had 26 points and Malcolm Cater added 16 points and 14 rebounds for Riverhead (1-2) in League IV. Pat Fabian scored 20 points to lead Eastport-South Manor.Comsewogue 57, Hauppauge 42: Zach Krischer scored 11 of his 18 points in a 23-9 fourth quarter for Comsewogue (3-2) in League V. Chase Lipshie went 6-for-8 from the foul line in the fourth quarter in the win.Plainview JFK 50, Syosset 43: Zach Amateau had 18 points, including two free throws with 1:15 left in the game to give Plainview JFK (4-0 Nassau Conference AA-III) a 50-43 lead. Greg Rankel added six points and 12 rebounds, Chris Druckman had eight rebounds and four points and Amateau added eight assists. Spencer Hazan led Syosset with 14 points. GIRLS BASKETBALL

Floyd 34, Brentwood 30: Monique Walker had 14 points, including a free throw with 15 seconds left to five Floyd (3-1) a 32-30 lead in League I. Jacklyn Andersen added two foul shots with 4.1 seconds left to provide the final margin.East Islip 38, West Islip 30: Jessica Calamusso had 20 points, including seven in a row in the final minute to provide the margin of victory. Laura Hill hit a free throw with 4:30 left to give East Islip (3-0 League III) a 31-30 lead. Comsewogue 48, Hauppauge 45: Mary Kate MacKinnon had 12 points, including two free throws with 1:12 left in overtime to give Comsewogue (3-2) a 44-43 lead in League V. MacKinnon hit two foul shots with 25 seconds left to tie the score a 39 and force overtime. Jackie Lattanza added 10 points for Comsewogue.

Glenn 32, Mount Sinai 28: Chelsea McCann made two free throws with 40 seconds left give Glenn (4-1) the final margin in League VI. Monica Eugene had eight points and 16 rebounds and Allison McKenna had 18 points and 11 rebounds.Westbury 44, Locust Valley 38: Marlene Ricketts (22 points, 14 rebounds) hit a three-pointer with 40 seconds remaining to give Westbury (2-2) a 43-38 lead in Conference ABC-II.
