Kevin Gustafson scored his only two points of the game with 40 seconds left to give Connetquot a 40-39 win over Sachem East Friday in non-league boys basketball.

Nick McAnally (nine points) hit two three pointers in the final four minutes as Connetquot cut a 39-32 Sachem East lead to one. James Higgins added nine points in the win.

Nestor Payne and Joe Santarpia each had nine points for Sachem East.

Shoreham-Wading River 44, Hampton Bays 42: Mitch Idtensohn led Shoreham-Wading River with 17 points and six rebounds. Tim Rotanz had nine points, six rebounds and four assists in the win. Justin Carbone had 31 points for Hampton Bays.Northport 50, Sachem North 46: Luke Petraske had 13 points, Tim Kennedy had 11 points and eight rebounds and Matt Smith added 10 points to lead Northport in non-league.

Commack 73, Half Hollow Hills East 61: Nick Arnold scored 19 of his 33 points in the second half and had six rebounds and four assists for Commack in non-league.Eastport-South Manor 52, Miller Place 42: Mat Anunziata had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Eastport-South Manor in non-league. Dennis Sullivan led Eastport-South Manor with 23 points.West Babylon 72, Islip 63: Chris Miller had 32 points and four assists to lift West Babylon in non-league. John Siefert added 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Jericho 66, Valley Stream South 54: Erik Kanzer had 19 points and eight rebounds and Derek Medolla had six points and nine rebounds to lead Jericho in non-league. Diego Maldonado had a 26 points for Valley Stream South.Wantagh 75, Sewanhaka 61: Gerard Roche had 23 points and six assists and Brendan Devine added nine points and 11 rebounds for Wantagh in non-league. Kevin Specht (13 points) and Will Fitzpatrick each hit a three-pointer during an 18-9 fourth quarter in the win.

Westbury 49, New Hyde Park 38: Anthony Cadogan had 10 points and 12 rebounds and Brian Newell had eight points and eight rebounds to lead Westbury in the Coaches Vs. Cancer consolation game at New Hyde Park.Portledge 60, Martin L. King Jr. 49: Terence Simpson had 19 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and five steals as Portledge used a 22-5 run to turn a one-point halftime lead into a 49-31 advantage after three quarters in a Portledge Tournament semifinal. Portledge plays the winner of Waldorf/Evangel Christian in the final today.
