Nassau Players to Watch

Here's a list of 10 players who've been impressing so far this season from Nassau. It's listed in alphabetical order...

Paris Abrams, Westbury, Sr. -- The 6-2 guard has led Westbury (4-3) in scoring four times and is averaging 18 points per game for one of the Class A favorites. He had a game-high 23 Tuesday in a 74-71 overtime loss to Elmont.

Bolade Akingboye, Uniondale, Sr. -- Along with Goey Charles, an all-around threat for Class AA-leading Uniondale. The 6-4 Akingboye led the team with 12 rebounds in a win against Farmingdale and in points with 21 against Valley Stream Central.

Goey Charles, Uniondale, Sr. -- Similar to Akingboye is his all-around ability, the 6-5 Charles scored 26 points in the Farmingdale win, 17 in a loss to Brentwood and led the team with 15 rebounds in a victory over Copiague.

Dominique Aberdeen, Baldwin, Sr. -- The first-year starter for Baldwin (5-2) has had two 20-plus point games already. He’s among several talented players for the Bruins.

Jamel Flash, West Hempstead, Sr. -- The 6-11 center is a presence on offense and defense. He’s averaging double-digit points and regularly sees double and triple teams.
