**FINAL**: Friends Academy is moving on to the Class C final after a 53-48 win over I-Prep.

Costa hit a three-pointer to open the scoring in overtime and then had a hoop off an inbounds to give Friends a 50-45 lead. He and Hefele finished with 13 points, while Godlis and Sehring each scored 10.

Friends will play Section IV's Syracuse Academy of Science (21-2) at 7:15 p.m. tomorrow night.

**UPDATE**: We're headed for overtime, as the teams are tied at 43. I-Prep outscored Friends 16-8 in the period, including two free throws from Maurice Cheatom with 39.7 seconds remaining.

Marc Godlis missed a runner with 13.8 left, but I-Prep's final shot was off the mark. Hefele remains the leading scorer for Friends with 13 points, while Holland has 16 for I-Prep.

**UPDATE**: Friends Academy is one quarter away from playing for a state championship, as the Quakers lead I-Prep 35-27.

Kellan Sehring (eight points) had three putbacks in the quarter, including two straight to close the period. Hefele leads Friends with 13 points, while Holland and Pringle each have nine for the Presidents.

**UPDATE**: We're at the half, and Friends leads I-Prep 21-16. The Quakers went on a 7-0 run, including five points from Tommy Costa to take a 19-14 lead with 2:54 left in the period.

Hefele leads Friends with 10 points, while Holland leads I-Prep with seven.

I'm here live at the Glens Falls Civic Center for the Class C semifinal game between Friends Academy (15-4) and the International Preparatory School at Grover (19-3), which is located in Buffalo.

The Quakers earned a trip here with a 49-44 win over Tuckahoe in the regional final, in which Marc Godlis scored a season-high 25 points.

The Presidents are led by 6-1 senior guard Chris Holland and 5-8 point guard Kenny Pringle.
