Sledge, Tobias Harris help Hills West beat Christ the King

Tavon Sledge had 24 points and 12 assists and Tobias Harris 19 points, 14 rebounds and 11 blocked shots Sunday as Half Hollow Hills West beat Christ the King, 73-69, at the PrimeTime Shootout in Trenton.

Sledge and Harris, who scored 15 points in the second half, were named co-MVPs of the game as Hills West lifted its record to 19-0.

The Colts outscored Christ the King 21-13 in the third quarter to take a 54-47 lead. Tyler Harris (12 points) and Sledge totaled 6-for-8 shooting from the free-throw line in the final two minutes of the game to clinch it. Harris' free throw with three seconds left gave the Colts a four-point lead.

Top-seeded Hills West will host the Sachem North-Centereach winner at 6 p.m. Friday in the Suffolk Class AA tournament round of 16.

Omar Calhoun had 24 points, Maurice Barrow 18 and Dominykas Milka 13 for Christ the King.
