**FINAL**: Friends Academy has punched a ticket to next weekend's state tournament with a 49-44 win over Tuckahoe. Godlis led the Quakers with a season-high 25 points. Hefele added nine and Costa seven.

Friends will play the Prep School at Grover (Buffalo) at 5 p.m. on Friday at the Glen Falls Civic Center in the state semifinals.

Next up here at Farmingdale is the Class B game between Mattituck (16-6) and Burke Catholic (20-2).

**UPDATE**: Not much scoring in the third quarter, but Friends did the bulk of what little there was. Bryan Judge's put-back with 41.7 seconds left in the period, gave the Quakers a 35-29 lead, the largest for either team today. Tuckahoe scored just three points in the quarter on a three-pointer.

Godlis leads Friends with 17 points.

Good afternoon boys hoops fans.

I'm coming to you live from Farmingdale State College, where Friends Academy (14-4) and Tuckahoe (20-3) are currently tied at 26 at halftime.

With Kellan Sehring (three) and T.J. Hefele (two) in foul trouble, forward Marc Godlis (pictured) has stepped up. He leads the Quakers with 14 points, five shy of his season high.

Hefele (seven points) and Tommy Costa (five) are the only other Friends players who have scored thus far. Sky Williams leads Tuckahoe with 13 points.

Both teams held a four-point lead in the first half.
