Perhaps there isn’t as much of a buzz about Hills West and Longwood as there was last year at this time, but the Colts, led by Tavon Sledge (left) and Lions are once again the top two seeds in Class AA. There could be a rematch of last year’s classic for the Suffolk large school championship on March 4 at Stony Brook University.

In Class A, an intriguing story line is a possible championship game between No. 1 Harborfields, coached by Chris Agostino, and No. 2 Amityville, coached by older brother Jack Agostino, on March 2 at Farmingdale State.

In Class B, the last of the Ward-Adams brothers graduated last spring, but Central Moriches is still the top seed. And in Class C, Greenport moved up from the Ds, but remains the No. 1 seed.

There are a couple of out-bracket games on Friday night and then the full-blown tournament begins with 12 games on Saturday. Check Newsday each day for stories, photos and updated schedules.
