No movement at the top in the Suffolk team rankings but some shuffling in the middle and bottom of this week’s Top 10. The league season is in full swing and so is the intensity, as we’ve already seen several of upsets.

Zog's Top 10

  1. Half Hollow Hills West (3-0): Tyler Harris had career high 23 last Tuesday. Two league games this week then a trip to Hoops Hall Classic in Springfield, Mass., next weekend.
  2. Longwood (8-0): Two more high-scoring victories for team with an Island-best 85.4 ppg average. Darien Davis is a genuine scoring threat. Plays in tournament in Baltimore this week.
  3. St. John the Baptist (11-1): The Cougars won at St. Anthony’s on Friday for the first time in 22 years.
  4. Harborfields (8-1): Two one-sided wins plus a forfeit victory keep the Tornadoes rolling.
  5. Lindenhurst (7-3): Surprising loss to Central Islip last Tuesday, but still a force in League II.
  6. Ward Melville (8-2): Two more wins last week have the Patriots in contention in League I.
  7. Bayport-Blue Point (7-3): Bounced back from surprise loss to Glenn to win two straight.
  8. Kings Park (8-2): Upset loss to Sayvile, but picked up two victories in League V.
  9. Copiague (5-2): After losing as expected to Hills West, won a thriller over Bellport.
  10. Bay Shore (6-3): Beat Whitman and squeaked past rival Whitman in defensive struggle.
