Tobias Harris of Half Hollow Hills West reached the 1,600-point plateau this week as he tries to become the 11th Long Island boys player to score 2,000 points in his career. Harris scored 19 against Riverhead and 28 against West Babylon. The latter, on Thursday night, was “his best offensive game of the season,” coach Bill Mitaritonna said.

The competition gets a lot tougher this weekend. On Saturday, the Colts play against Sacred Heart of Connecticut in the Hoop Hall Classic in Springfield, Mass. That’s an event that brings together 40 top-ranked boys and girls teams from around the country. Then on Monday, Hills West faces NYC Catholic League power Bishop Loughlin as part of the all-day Big Apple Classic at Baruch College, a Martin Luther King Day tradition.

Here is the game-by-game scoring breakdown for Harris so far:

At Eastport-South Manor: 21
At Copiague: 28
Vs. Deer Park: 10
At Riverhead: 19
Vs. West Babylon: 28

Season total: 106
Season average: 21.2
Career total: 1,636
