Todero's 41 points leads East Rockaway

Joe Todero tied a school record, scoring 41 points to lead East Rockaway over Bridgehampton, 70-61, Saturday in non-league boys basketball.

The senior guard matched Art Doherty's 41 points, set against Lawrence Woodmere in 1954. Todero added three assists and seven rebounds and scored 12 of the team's 14 points in the first quarter. He also hit seven threes. David Blessington had a season-high 10 points.

Cesar Banados led all other scorers with 18 points for Bridgehampton.

Hampton Bays 61, Comsewogue 59: Bruno Cavallo had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead Hampton Bays (4-2). He hit two free throws with 14 seconds remaining to put Hampton Bays ahead for good at 60-56. Cavallo went 6-for-6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Ryan Walker added 12 points and eight rebounds. A.J. Uhl led Comsewogue with 17 points and teammate Zach Krischer had 16.

Connetquot 68, Smithtown East 41: Senior Ryan Andersen set career highs with 19 points and 21 rebounds to lead Connetquot (2-6). Senior Kieran McArdle had a career-high 24 points and five assists and Joe Ruggiero had 11 points and five rebounds. Jon Feiler had 15 points for Smithtown East.

North Babylon 54, Deer Park 49: Vitchel Toussaint had 19 points and Ian Perez nine points and 12 rebounds to lead North Babylon (1-5).

St. Mary's 74, Kellenberg 63: Charles McCan led St. Mary's with 13 rebounds and Chauvaughn Lewis was the leading scorer with 21 in a CHSAA game. Chaz Morrish hit three three-point shots and totaled 13 points for St. Mary's (1-0).
