Bentivegna gets game-winner for MacArthur

Justin Bentivegna scored the game-winner unassisted with 2:17 left in the fourth quarter in MacArthur's 5-4 win over host Mepham in Conference B-I boys lacrosse. Anthony Ippolito tied the game for Mepham (0-1) with 6:19 to play. Jamie McAndrew led MacArthur (1-1) with two goals and two assists, and Joe Orth made 22 saves.Bayport-Blue Point 12, Bellport 4: Junior Matt DeBlasio scored five of his career-high seven goals in the first half for Bayport-Blue Point (4-0) in Division II. Brian White added three goals and two assists, and Brian Ward had three assists. Matt Pittala made 10 saves for Bellport (0-5).GIRLS

Middle Country 16, Half Hollow Hills 15: Tori Campis scored the game-winner off a pass from a Jessica Kravitz with a minute left in the second overtime for Middle Country (3-1) in Division I. Jessica Parker (six goals, three assists) scored with 20 seconds left in the first overtime to tie it at 15 for Middle Country after Kelsey Cunnigham (three goals, two assists) scored 2:31 into the first OT to give Half Hollow Hills (3-2) a 15-14 lead. Cunningham tied the game at 14 with 22 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime.

Floyd 16, North Babylon 14: Jackie Anderson scored a game-high seven goals with four assists to lead Floyd (2-1) in Division I. Octavia Williams added three goals and an assist, and Courtney Murphy scored three goals. Bria Hartley led North Babylon (1-3) with five goals and two assists. Lindenhurst 13, East Islip 10: Kelsey Russo (three goals, two assists) scored with 2:31 remaining in the first overtime to give Lindenhurst (2-2) the lead for good at 11-10 in Division I. Kim D'Angelo tied the game at 10 for Lindy with 56 seconds left in regulation. Jessica Wharry scored five goals with two assists. Jessica Calamusso led East Islip (2-2) with five goals and two assists.
