Blumberg's OT goal gives Jericho boys win

Michael Blumberg scored off a pass from Jordan Brett with 2:06 left in overtime to give Jericho a 9-8 win over Calhoun Saturday in Nassau Conference II boys lacrosse. Jericho (4-0) trailed 8-5 with 3:04 left in regulation, but tied the score on a goal by Chandler Kirby with 1:21 left in the fourth quarter.New Hyde Park 12, Great Neck South 11: Christian Trasolini had four goals for New Hyde Park (1-3) in Conference II.Bellmore JFK 4, Elmont 3: Christopher Jones scored his second goal with 7:40 remaining to break a tie at 3 for Bellmore JFK (3-1) in Conference II. Alex Naftal made 14 saves in the win.Manhasset 14, Bethpage 6: Quinn Moroney had eight assists to lead Manhasset (4-0) in Conference II.Great Neck North 16, Lawrence 10: Ryan King and Evan Dorman each scored four goals to lead GNN (2-1) in Conference II.

South Side 10, Lynbrook 8: Sean Kenny won 17 of 21 faceoffs and Chandler Baylis made 12 saves for South Side (2-1) in Conference III.Sayville 6, Harborfields 5: Conner O'Neil scored the winning goal on a give-and-go with Zack Sirico with 3:20 left in the fourth quarter for Sayville (6-2) in Division II. Andrew Gonzalez tied the score at 5 for Sayville with six minutes left in the game.Bayport-Blue Point 14, Eastport-South Manor 12: Connor White won 20 of 27 faceoffs and Billy Baker scored a goal with 51 seconds left in the game to break a tie at 12 to lead BBP (6-1) in Division II. SOFTBALLSt. Anthony's 5, St. John the Baptist 0: Aileen Reilly threw a two-hitter with six strikeouts and went 2-for-4 with an RBI to lead St. Anthony's (10-2) in CHSAA. Michelle Carbone went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
