Though no Long Island natives were among the Tewaaraton Award finalists announed Wednesday, Stony Brook junior midfielder and Canadian sensation Kevin Crowley is on the list. The award is given annually to the most outstanding men's and women's college players. All finalists are invited to a June 3 awards banquet in Washington, D.C. 

Men's finalists:

Kevin Crowley, Stony Brook, Jr., M,  New Westminster, B.C., Canada
Curtis Dickson, Delaware, Sr., A, Port Coquitlam, B.C., Canada
Joel White, Syracuse, Jr., D, Cortland, N.Y.

Crowley has 46 goals and 25 assists this season and leads the nation in points per game (4.73). He was the unanimous choice for America East Player of the Year. Stony Brook hosts Denver in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday.
