Four Long Island players who graduated last spring were selected to ESPN’s High School Lacrosse All-American first team. Defense Joe Ostrander (Farmingdale), pictured above right, and Stephen Jahelka (Garden City), attack Kyle Keenan (Smithtown West) and goalie Kyle Turri (West Islip) were honored. The Coach of the Year was Farmingdale’s Bob Hartranft, who directed the Dalers to the state championship, ending West Islip’s undefeated season in overtime in the Long Island championship game.

Returning high school seniors, attack Devin Dwyer (Garden City) and defense Rob Duvnjak (Manhasset) plus graduated senior Brian Fischer (Garden City) were ESPN second-team All-Americans.
