Hubbard's six goals lead Riverhead boys

Sophomore Ryan Hubbard scored a career-high six goals Saturday, including two in the final 3:24 to lift Riverhead to a 14-13 win over Floyd in Suffolk Division I boys lacrosse.

Hubbard scored the winner off a feed from Ryan Bitzer (two goals, three assists) with 1:26 left. Riverhead is 6-4.

Smithtown East 9, Northport 8: Brian Willets scored on an assist from Peter Triolo with 3:24 left to give Smithtown East (6-4) a 9-6 lead in Division I. Brian Balkam had 19 saves in the win. St. Dominic 10, Stepinac 9: Junior Peter Izzo had a career-high 19 saves and Jake Kiernan had three goals and three assists to lead St. Dominic (8-0) in CHSAA. R.J. Beil won 10 of 14 faceoffs and had two goals and two assists.St. John the Baptist 6, Fordham Prep 5: Austin Wylie scored off a rebound with 25 seconds left to lead SJB (6-3) in CHSAA. Christian Turri added three goals and one assist.

Sewanhaka 6, Great Neck North 4: Peter Militano scored three goals to lead Sewanhaka (3-2) in Nassau Conference III. David Ford had a goal and two assists, and Jake Mellen made 16 saves in the win.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Bethpage 10, MacArthur 9: Lindsay Cafiero (three goals, two assists) scored the winner with 2:55 left to lift Bethpage (6-5) in non-league. Danielle Bergersen scored four goals in the win.Deer Park 16, Glenn 14: Sophomore Shannon Doolan had seven goals and three assists for a career-high 10 points for Deer Park (4-6) in Suffolk Division II.Mount Sinai 14, Sayville 12: Danielle DellaRocca had four goals and one assist and Sydney Pirecca and Shayna Pirecca each had four goals to lead Mount Sinai (9-2) in Division II.Shoreham-Wading River 7, Babylon 6: Clare Blomberg scored off a pass from Shannon Rosati to give Shoreham-Wading River (8-2) a 7-4 lead with 13:40 left in Division II. Jessica Angerman had two goals and an assist,

Trish Miller forced five turnovers and Lauren Daly had seven saves for SWR.

St. Dominic 17, Our Lady of Mercy 15: Julia LoRusso had six goals, including two in 23 seconds in the second half to give St. Dominic (9-3) a 16-14 lead in non-league.

BASEBALL

Upper Room 4, Long Island Lutheran 0: Wilson Agramonte gave up a hit and walked one in five scoreless innings for Upper Room (16-0) in non-league. Ramon Laureano struck out five in two hitless innings for the save. It was the 200th win for the Upper Room baseball program, coach Tony Passalacqua told Newsday.

East Islip 7, Sachem East 0: Brian Bennett pitched a four-hitter for East Islip (13-1) in non-league. Pete Hanabergh had two hits and two runs and Paul Dondero went 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Oyster Bay 11, Herricks 9: Rob Morgan was 2-for-3 with five RBIs, including a grand slam in the fifth inning, for Oyster Bay (12-1) in non-league.

SOFTBALL

Carey 4, Massapequa 2: Junior Ashley Turato allowed one earned run in four innings to get the win for Carey (4-5) in Nassau Conference AA-I. Her freshman sister, Jenna, allowed two hits and struck out three in three innings for the save. Mikayla Morfesi scored on a passed ball to give the Seahawks a 3-2 lead in the fourth inning.

Floral Park 3, New Hyde Park 1: Angelica Titor and Kristina Santoro each had RBI singles in the top of the eighth inning for Floral Park (6-3) in Conference ABC-I. Sam Giovanniello struck out 10 and allowed one hit.

Rocky Point 1, Miller Place 0: Annie Kennedy's single in the bottom of the eighth scored Lauren Molloy and won it for Rocky Point (6-5) in Suffolk League VI. Kennedy also pitched a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts.Division 1, Wantagh 0: Taylor Rosenthal tossed a three-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Division (11-3) in non-league. Caitlyn Sweeney's pinch-hit RBI single with one out in the bottom of the sixth scored Alexis Alvino. Alvino went 3-for-3 in the win.
