McDonagh scores winner for St. Anthony's

Sean McDonagh scored the winner on an assist from Jack Griffin with four seconds left for St. Anthony's in a 12-11 win at Westchester Yorktown in non-league boys lacrosse Saturday.

McDonagh's fifth and final goal came from 10 yards. He also had two assists, and Matt Chanenchuk had three goals and an assist, and Joseph LoCascio scored two goals for the Friars (12-3).

Justin Mabus led Yorktown (9-6) with four goals and one assist.

Chaminade 6, Delbarton (N.J.) 5: Shane Thorton scored on an assist from Matt Kavanagh with 56 seconds left for Chaminade (14-2). Brendan DeTommaso scored two goals with one assist, Walter Rooney had two goals, and John Connors made 17 saves. Anthony Heaton scored two goals for Delbarton (11-4).Farmingdale 11, Baldwin 9: Senior Brian Prendergast scored a career-high six goals for Farmingdale (8-1), which led 7-2 at halftime, in Conference I. Sal Tuttle had two goals and five assists, Korey Hendrickson two goals and two assists, and Mike Palmer made 10 saves. John Ragno won 16 of 20 faceoffs. Chris Mertens led Baldwin (5-4) with three goals and one assist.Friends Academy 15, Floral Park 9: Senior Alex Ryan scored a career-high seven goals for Friends Academy (6-1) in Conference IV. Quentin Dellafera and Kellan Sehring each had two goals, and Will Sands had a goal and three assists. Tom Monahan led Floral Park (5-3) with three goals and one assist. Half Hollow Hills East 9, East Islip 7: Anthony Ramaizel scored unassisted with 10 minutes left to give Half Hollow Hills East (7-6) an 8-7 lead in Division I. Sam Birnbaum led the T-Birds with three goals and two assists, Matt Garziano scored two goals, and Gary Engelthaler made 12 saves. Ramaizel had a goal and two assists. Kevin Hutchinson led East Islip (7-6) with two goals and two assists.Whitman 16, Floyd 14: Myles Jones had five goals and five assists for Whitman (6-7). Jones' goal with 10 minutes to play gave the Wildcats a 15-9 lead. Michael Chimenti had four goals and three assists, Kevin Teresky four goals and two assists, and Daniel Friedman made 14 saves. D.J. Allen led Floyd (2-11) with five goals and one assist.

Northport 13, Lindenhurst 9: Sophomore John Trainor had a career-high seven points (three goals, four assists) for Northport (8-5). Sean Gilroy scored four goals with one assist, Matt Sarcona had three goals and one assist, and Tom Cordts made 12 saves. Keith Laclair scored five goals for Lindenhurst (8-6).

Sachem North 20, Bay Shore 9: Junior Kyle Rhatigan scored a career-high eight points (four goals and four assists) and junior Brandon Gamblin a career-high six assists for Sachem North (10-3). Dalton Crossan scored five goals and Tim Lang had four goals and three assists in the win. Bay Shore is 8-5.
