Dan O'Connell and Tom Zenker each scored four goals and Ryan Lukacovic totaled four assists as 17 players contributed to the scoring for Chaminade, which cruised past host Holy Trinity, 18-7, Thursday in CHSAA boys lacrosse.
Since defeating CHSAA-rival St. Anthony's, 6-5, on April 5, Chaminade (11-0, 7-0) has remained undefeated and won its last seven games by a combined 68 goals with no game closer than seven.
"It's been our theme the whole year: Whoever's open gets the ball," Chaminade coach Jack Moran said. "They share the ball well and they're really good players and we shot well today. Our kids found each other and it's one of those days."
This past Saturday, Chaminade defeated Manhasset, 13-5, in the fifth annual game played for Regs Rock, named after former Chaminade and Duke star and Army Sgt. James Regan, who died in combat in 2007.
Proceeds from the game, which drew more than 2,000 spectators, went to the Lead The Way Fund, which supports Army Rangers and their families.
"To play for someone else besides yourself or your school is an important lesson," Moran said.
Chaminade travels to St. Anthony's for the second regular-season meeting Thursday at 7 p.m.
