Carlos Rivera's hat trick sparks Huntington

Carlos Rivera scored three goals, including the winner with five minutes left in the first overtime, to lift Huntington to a 3-2 win over Smithtown East yesterday in Suffolk III boys soccer. Rivera scored the winner from 12 yards off a feed by Wilber Parada.

Nat Amato made five saves for Huntington (3-0-1).

Central Islip 3, Whitman 2: Christian Villalta rebounded a penalty kick and scored the winner midway through the second half to lead Central Islip (3-1) in Suffolk II. Central Islip led 2-0 at halftime, but Whitman's Fabrizio Chamorro and Michael Lorello scored early in the second.West Babylon 2, Kings Park 1: Frank Pisano scored off an assist from Celso Martinez four minutes into the first overtime to lead West Babylon (1-2-1) in Suffolk IV. Martinez also tied the score with 22 minutes left.Smithtown West 2, West Islip 1: Matt McDonnell had two goals, including the winner with about five minutes left, for Smithtown West (3-1) in League III.Rocky Point 1, Shoreham-Wading River 0: Noah Krawe scored from 6 yards with 10 minutes left to lead Rocky Point (3-3) in non-league.Baldwin 1, Long Beach 0: Alessandro Garcia took a free kick from the right corner of the 18-yard box and found Chandley Elie, who headed the ball in with a minute remaining to lift Baldwin (3-1-1) in a Nassau AA-II/IV crossover. Marc Paez had 15 saves for Long Beach.Floral Park 3, Division 2: Kyle Darden scored from 6 yards off a touch pass from Jonathan Ferone with a minute left for Floral Park (1-1-1) in Nassau A-II.

Garden City 1, Jericho 0: John Simmons one-timed Michael Franco's header into the net with 10 minutes left in the first half as Garden City (1-2-1) won in Nassau A-I.Westbury 1, Hempstead 0: Bryan Argueta scored from 30 yards with 30 minutes left in a Conference AA-I/AA-III crossover.GIRLS SOCCERSt. Anthony's 2, Sacred Heart 2: Kerri Bradley chipped in a pass from Caitlin Kennedy with 50 seconds left as Sacred Heart (0-1-1) earned its first point against defending CHSAA state champion St. Anthony's in three years.Smithtown East 3, Smithtown West 2: Danielle Bartsch took a direct kick from 35 yards that Lauren Couto fielded and fired into the lower left corner with 10:20 remaining to give Smithtown East (4-0) the 3-2 lead in Suffolk III. Couto found Jordan Sackaris, who fired a shot from 20 yards out off the crossbar and into the net with 13:34 to play to tie it at 2 for Smithtown East.

Shoreham-Wading River 1, Bayport-Blue Point 0: Sophia Triandafils scored on a header with 9:10 left in the second overtime off a corner kick by Alex Kuhnle to lift Shoreham-Wading River (3-0) in League VI.East Hampton 1, Hampton Bays 0: Kelly Rodriguez scored off a give-and-go with Lisseth Rodriguez with 4:30 to go for East Hampton (1-2) in League VI.
