St. John the Baptist is going to the CHSAA finals for the first time since 2006. The Cougars defeated host Chaminade, 1-0, this afternoon in a 1-0 win. The No. 3 Cougars will play tonight's winner of St. Anthony's-Kellenberg in the finals at 5 p.m. Saturday at Adelphi.
Junior Rosero scored with 26:27 left in regulation for the lone goal. Michael Gaffary made 10 saves in the win. Brian Westerman made eight saves for No. 2 Chaminade, which won the CHSAA state championship last season.
