It was a long drought that came to an end for Uniondale last season. The Knights made the playoffs for the first time in 15 seasons and lost in the first round to Baldwin on penalty kicks.
Uniondale lost just two players from last season's team and enter the season with high expectations in Nassau Class AA. The Knights have one of the best players on Long Island in senior forward Nyder Chardonnette. He also kicks for the football team and runs track. He is a savvy player and very fast.
Getting him the ball will be the responsibility of senior midfielder Frankie Villegas. He's an excellent passer. Senior midfielder Jonathan Hernandez is good on the ball and sophomore forward/midfielder Kevin Arriola has good speed.
Uniondale has speed up front and passing is one of its strong points.
