Northport has junior Brigid Brennan, who is the fastest returning girl cross country runner in Suffolk. Sarah Zieve, Jackie Thorne and Cara Jozefowski provide quality depth. Defending champion Ward Melville will look to freshmen Courtney and Brittany Williams and newcomer Molly Dearie to help overcome graduation losses. Connetquot, led by Jessie Smillie, Erin Melly and Amy Irving, returns its entire top seven from last season. A junior corps of Shannon O'Hehir, Kaitlin DiMartino, Jayda Allen and Nicole Silvestre pace Sachem East. Kings Park has its entire top seven back, including Shannon Ahern, Kathleen Naeher, Kristen Homeyer and Tori Silvers.

Bay Shore is young but strong, with freshmen Jasmin Reyes and Aviana Goode and junior Lindsay Arcuri leading the way.


Bayport-Blue Point returns Katie Saroka, Courtney Dooley, Brianna Delzell and Taylor Darby. Junior twins Tiana and Talia Guevara will help a young Miller Place contend. Freshman Lauren Nolan and sophomore Dominique Betterbed also return. Eastport-South Manor¸ new to Class B, is led by . Nicole and Ashley Schaefer.


Defending champ Center Moriches returns Ryleigh Donegan and Georgie Nicholes. Mattituck will contend thanks to Tara Gatz, Melanie Pfenning, Kaylee Bergen and Audrey Hoeg. Sisters Shanna and Cameron Heaney lead Class C newcomer Hampton Bays. Southampton brings back Erika Gulija, Hannah Connolly-Sporing and Carley Guida.



Defending champion Southold has Colette Steele, Shelby Pickerell and Katie Connolly. Stony Brook returns Margot Rashba and Elsa Crozier and adds seventh-grader Claire Walker, who will contribute as its No. 2 runner.


Freshman Lauren Gruber paces Syosset, which also has Henna Rustami, Tracy Go and Jade Knaster. East Meadow will be a factor with freshman Alex Dagnell and senior Megan Peysson. Massapequa will have to overcome a few key losses to defend its title. Shannon O'Connell and Kara McKenna are back. Joelle Feinberg leads Port Washington, with Dian Lin, Bianca Luparello, Ashley Pollack and Gisella Snailer supporting.

CLASS BElizabeth Caldwell and Jessica Donohue -- the top two returning runners in Nassau -- and Alexandra Osman lead North Shore, which looks to three-peat as state champion. Garden City is young and loaded with talent. Two sets of sisters -- Jen and Stephanie Gerland and Katie and Emily O'Neill -- highlight a very deep squad. Wantagh returns Avery Kratzer as well as Shea Weber and Gabby Soethout. Valley Stream North brings back freshman Gabby Andrade and senior Sydney Cano.


Defending champion Friends Academy returns a lot of depth. Katrina Garry and Molly Sullivan lead the charge. Oyster Bay's Nicole Giannetti is the top returning runner in the class, with Aubri Juhász in tow.


St. Anthony's returns most of last season's Intersectional championship team. Kerri-Anne Flynn, Delaney Worth, Gina DeAngelo and Stephanie Leo anchor a strong top seven.

Kellenberg brings back sophomore Jazmine Fray and senior Mia Imbesi. Sacred Heart could be a sleeper team with Paige Duca and Erin Pfail returning.

St. John the Baptist has Kate McCormack, Lauren Rivera, and Katie Stroble. Holy Trinity brings back league champion Caroline Brown as well as Marianne Bartolotta.

More high schools
