Katie and Cara Trombetta.
That will be the last mention of the superstar sisters in this article. And that might be the most worrisome thing for Sachem East's opponents upstate.
The Flaming Arrows won a second straight Long Island Class A championship Tuesday night with a 3-0 win over Massapequa at Adelphi.
But it wasn't on the strength of its dynamic duo but its dynamic auxiliary parts.
Katie Doherty, Kayla McKeveny and Katie Shanahan did the damage for Sachem East, which improved to 20-0 on the season.
"It means all 32 of our players are great field hockey players," said McKeveny, who put the Arrows on the board with 8:43 left in the first half. "We're a great team, top to bottom."
Sachem East, the defending state champions, will face Williamsville North in the state semifinals Saturday at Cicero-North Syracuse.
Doherty's goal, off a feed from Nikki Healy, made it 2-0 with 28:57 left. That the Flaming Arrows could win so handily with its top two scorers contained demonstrates the depth and might of this squad.
Sachem East's defense again was stout and Jordan Miller needed only two saves for the shutout.
Cassidy O'Brien made 12 saves for Massapequa (10-5).
"I can't even explain all the emotions I'm feeling right now," Healy said. "This is what we've been working for, and now we're going back to states."
