The Miller Place field hockey team defeated Pierson/Bridgehampton, 2-0, in the Suffolk Class BC (small schools) final at Diamond in the Pines, Tuesday night.

Miller Place (17-1) advances to the Long Island Class B championship game at 3 p.m. Saturday. Pierson/Bridgehampton (11-5) plays at 5 p.m. Saturday for the Long Island Class C championship. Both games are at Adelphi.

Crystal Esposito scored off an assist from her sister, Arianna, with 19:20 left in the first half. Arianna Esposito set up Jill Fazio for the other goal with 3:54 remaining in the game.

“We’re concentrating so hard on Saturday,” Miller Place coach Alana LaMorte said, “but we wanted to win this game for ourselves and have fun.”
