Balducci's 41-yard TD run seals Carle Place win

With South Side threatening a comeback in the fourth quarter, Carle Place/Wheatley's Don Balducci converted a third-and-6 with a 41-yard touchdown run that gave the Frogs (2-2) a 14-point cushion with eight minutes left in their eventual 21-14 win in Nasa sau Conference III football game.

Balducci, who finished with 190 yards, also had a 68-yard TD in the third and earlier added an interception. Charlie Wang led the defense with 11 tackles.

South Side is 1-3.

Glen Cove 14, Great Neck North 0: Running backs John Bellock and Pietro LaFortezza had touchdown runs to lead Glen Cove (2-2). Owen Valance had two interceptions, Aaron Sylver had two sacks, Ronnie Rant had six tackles and a forced fumble and Frankie Gaudio made eight tackles to lead the defense. Great Neck North is 0-4.

Lawrence 29, Bethpage 6: Ryan Fredericks ran for 223 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lawrence (3-1). After missing the first three games because of injury, Marcos Pinto returned and had three receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Nick Belen had nine tackles, forced and recovered a fumble, and Jason Delgrosso added eight tackles to lead the Lawrence defense.

West Hempstead 41, Valley Stream South 20: Tavon Hall ran for 196 yards and four TDs to lead West Hempstead (2-2), which rallied from a 20-13 halftime deficit. Justin Boatwright rushed for 150 yards and a score. Osemane Camara made 12 tackles to lead the defense.
