Benny Orlando’s 20-yard touchdown run with 5:19 remaining in the game gave MacArthur the win over South Side, 20-14, in Nassau II Saturday. Orlando had seven carries for 46 yards. Calvin Louie added 11 rushes for 52 yards. AJ Lohmuller had eight tackles including a stop on a fourth-and-10 play with 2:15 remaining in the game, preventing a potential South Side first down. Kyle Acquavella completed nine passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Tom Evans caught three passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Hugh Kelleher added two catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. Tom Carroll forced a fumble on the first play from scrimmage that was recovered by Reis Zukic for MacArthur (1-2).

Great Neck 18, Jericho 10: Matt Solomon made a tackle late in the fourth to stop Jericho’s momentum on a potential TD run to lead Great Neck (1-2). Great Neck went up early in the first half, 12-3. Arya Kermanian caught a 56-yard pass from Joe Harooni on the first scoring play. Harooni then made an interception and returned it for a 12-yard touchdown. Kermanian completed the scoring for Great Neck in the fourth quarter, making an interception and returning it 50 yards for a touchdown. Great Neck rushed for a total of 119 yards. Payami Moshe and Aiden Yip each had two sacks.

Elmont 35, Valley Stream Central 26: Chester Anderson caught 12 passes for 183 yards and three touchdowns in Elmont’s (2-1) win. Brian Jean-Baptiste completed 15 of 28 passes for 223 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Michael Djalo led all rushers with 154 yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts. Emmanuel Fleming led the defense with three sacks.

Carey 27, Calhoun 17: Dominic Rutigliano completed 18 of 28 passes for 207 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions in Carey’s (3-0) win. His scoring strike to Anthony DeNicola on a 4th-and-9 from the Calhoun 12 10 seconds into the fourth quarter gave Carey some room. Rich Mejia (one sack) and Dylan Hartz each had seven tackles to lead the Carey defense. Nick Giacalone had seven catches for 93 yards, including touchdown catches of 5 and 39 yards. Pat McGrath added three catches for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Garden City 55, Bellmore JFK 7: Trevor Yeboah-Kodie ran for 78 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries to give Garden City (3-0) the win. Justin Coppola ran for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Joe Scattareggia, Holden Overbeck and Ford Carney each added touchdown runs.

Mepham 35, Sewanhaka 7: Michael Estevez ran for 87 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries and Nah’jel Sands had 37 yards and two touchdowns on four carries in Mepham’s (3-0) win. Michael Proios completed 9 of 12 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. Kevin McCleneghan caught two passes for 56 yards and went 4-of-4 on point after attempts. Matt Hegi had six tackles.
