Chavious sparks Bellport's win

Nate Chavious ran for 239 yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns to lead Bellport to a 38-13 win over Eastport-South Manor in Suffolk III.

It was the fourth consecutive game that Chavious ran for more than 200 yards. Chavious' first touchdown came on a 59-yard run with 2:00 left in the first quarter. Alex Vargas added 44 yards on 12 carries.

Harborfields 19, Amityville 12: Anthony Fresolo blocked a punt late in the third quarter and on the resulting drive, he caught a 46-yard TD pass from Andrew Widmer to give Harborfields the lead for good. Widmer finished with 141 passing yards and three touchdowns. Jeremy Schwartz made 13 tackles, including four for a loss.

Rocky Point 29, Deer Park 14: Senior Brayden O'Hara had 23 carries for a career-high 190 yards and three touchdowns to lead Rocky Point (2-5) in Suffolk III. O'Hara scored on runs of 1, 70, and 40 yards. Quentin Lambert went 10-for-15 for 117 yards and had 25 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Dillon Campbell had three receptions for 51 yards. Zeki Yazak led with 11 tackles. Mike Gilmartin added four tackles and an interception. Vin Bua had six tackles, three of which were for losses. Deer Park is now 1-6.Comsewogue 13, Islip 10: Ryan Keefe scored on a 9-yard run in overtime to lead Comsewogue (3-4) over Islip (1-6) in Suffolk III.
