DT Daquan Brown scores twice in Wyandanch win

Senior defensive tackle Daquan Brown scored his first two career touchdowns to lead Wyandanch (2-3) over Greenport/Southold, 38-27, in Suffolk IV Friday. Leading 8-0 in the first quarter, Brown stripped the ball from a Greenport/Southold runner and returned it 65 yards for a score. In the fourth, Brown gave Wyandanch a 32-20 lead with 7:58 left when he picked up a loose ball and ran 40 yards to the end zone. Matt Rosa sealed the win with a 54-yard touchdown run with 1:43 left after Greenport/Southold (0-5) had made it a one-possession game on the previous drive. Talaquan Maddox led Wyandanch with seven tackles and Brown finished with five tackles. Juan Serrano added six tackles.

Shoreham-Wading River 31, Glenn 14: Tyler Anderson had 219 yards and three TDs on 27 carries and contributed two sacks defensively to lead SWR (4-1).

Stony Brook 53, Southampton 35: Trailing 14-7 late in the first quarter, Ben Fye returned a kickoff 85 yards to tie the score and propel Stony Brook (4-1) Friday. With the game tied heading into the second quarter, quarterback Marco Masakayan hit Tyler Hoegsberg for a 23-yard TD pass that gave Stony Brook the lead for the first time. Later in the quarter, Masakayan ran the ball in from 23-yards to make it 28-14. Donald Liotine later broke the game open with a 37-yard score that put the Bears ahead 34-21 at the half and sparked the Stony Brook run of four straight touchdowns in the second and third quarters. Liotine rushed for 164 yards on 15 carries. Liotine led the team with seven tackles and Fye also had a fumble recovery and an interception.

Mount Sinai 39, East Hampton 17: Mark Donadio had six rushes for 165 yards and three touchdowns to lead Mt. Sinai (4-1). Michael Cortese ran eight times for 82 yards and a score. Zach Wolfe added 65 yards and a TD on three carries and Chris Farrell had 61 yards on a touchdown on three rushes. Mt. Sinai totaled 436 yards on the ground. Cortese had seven tackles. Sal Maresca added four tackles and a sack and Brandon Drumgole had two fumble recoveries.

Mercy 21, Port Jefferson 7: Reggie Archer had two TDs and 178 yards on 18 carries to lead Mercy (5-0). Quarterback Asaiah Wilson rushed for the go-ahead touchdown with 4:30 left in the first half, setting up the scoring drive himself with a 46-yard punt return that brought the ball to the two-yard line.

Hampton Bays 35, Center Moriches 13: Devin Havens' 70-yard interception return with 1:54 left in second quarter gave Hampton Bays (5-0) a 22-0 lead. Taylor Catz rushed for 164 yards on 15 carries and scored three touchdowns. His first touchdown run came with 7:36 left in first quarter, opening the scoring. Alex Lane made nine tackles.

Babylon 45, Bayport-Blue Point 17: Jake Carlock returned a kickoff 94 yards at the end of the first quarter, breaking a 7-7 tie to lead Babylon (5-0). Nick Santorelli finished with 146 yards passing while Luke Zappia had 119 yards rushing and a touchdown.
