Greg Egan's 43-yard TD run lifts St. John the Baptist

Quarterback Greg Egan scored on a 43-yard run with 1:29 run to lift St. John the Baptist to a 20-12 win over Cardinal Hayes Saturday in CHSFL football.

With St. John the Baptist (6-1, 5-1) ahead 14-12 and facing a 4th-and-3, Egan rolled right off play action and dashed 43 yards down the side to provide the final margin. Egan gave SJB a 7-0 lead on a 12-yard run in the first quarter. Bryan Sinclair's 48-yard TD run made it 14-6 in the third quarter. He finished with 78 rushing yards on six carries. Christian Turri added 75 yards rushing on eight carries and Lawson Prendergast had 15 tackles. Cardinal Hayes is (4-3, 3-3).

St. Anthony's 34, Mount St. Michael 12: Brendan Femiano had 92 yards rushing and a 49-yard TD run with 7:40 left in the second as St. Anthony's (5-2, 5-1 CHSFL) scored 27 straight points. Victor Morales caught a 67-yard touchdown pass from Greg Galligan with 6:58 left in the first quarter to give the Friars a 7-0 lead.
