Heuer helps keep Oceanside perfect

Tyler Heuer was 15-for-18 for 282 yards and five touchdowns for Oceanside, which moved to 7-0 in Nassau Conference I with a 34-14 win over visiting Uniondale last night. Heuer has 27 touchdown passes on the season, three shy of the Nassau record. Gene Garay caught two touchdown passes and had 211 yards on eight receptions. Heuer found Joe Swanson on an 18-yard fade three minutes into the game then connected with Chris Hughes for two scores late in the first quarter. Swanson added two interceptions. Terrance Rodway scored on a 72-yard punt return and a 21-yard reception for Uniondale (3-4).

East Meadow 28, Baldwin 7: Robbie Healy ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns on nine carries for East Meadow (5-2). Shin-shun Kang had 13 carries for 123 yards and a score, and Dylan Curry opened the scoring with a 5-yard TD run. James Delia had two sacks and seven tackles. Baldwin falls to 3-4.Plainview JFK 41, Hempstead 12: Brandon Glass rushed 12 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns for Plainview JFK (2-5). John Bellamente rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries, and completed a 23-yard pass. Steven Vissachelli ran 14 times for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Plainview JFK ran for 421 yards and its defense held Hempstead to only one first down in the first half. Malik Howard scored on a 62-yard run for Hempstead (2-5).Hicksville 33, Port Washington 0: Mike McIlwee was 5-for-12 for 82 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for two more touchdowns for Hicksville (4-3). Chris Durham caught three passes for 52 yards and one touchdown and Fritz Cherubin rushed six times for 46 yards and one touchdown. The defense recorded four sacks, forced three fumbles and had three interceptions. Port Washington drops to 0-7. Massapequa 48, Herricks 0: Ryan Neu rushed for touchdowns of 29 and 19 yards and threw a 23-yard scoring pass to Steven Romano for Massapequa (4-3). Michael Barry also threw two touchdown passes, and Luke Pellizzi had a 6-yard touchdown run. Herricks is 1-6.
