The Holy Trinity on the football field Sunday was Rob Zecker, Louis Cotrone and Mike Williams.

The backfield mates combined for 368 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries, as No. 3 Holy Trinity (7-2) breezed past No. 6 Mount St. Michael 42-12 at home in the CHSFL Class AAA quarterfinals.

Holy Trinity, which scored all 42 of its points in the first half, advances to next weekend's semifinal against No. 2 Iona Prep, a 33-14 winner over No. 7 Holy Cross Sunday. No. 1 St. Anthony's plays No. 4 Fordham Prep in the other semifinal.

Williams, who finished with 75 yards on six carries, rushed for two first-quarter touchdowns. Zecker (team-high 150 yards on 20 carries) scored on a 10-yard run to make it 21-0.

Sophomore quarterback Chris Laviano, was 6-for-11 for 91 yards, threw two second-quarter touchdowns, a 34-yarder to Nick Olson (three catches for 62 yards) and a 30-yarder to Nick Ferreiro. Those scores sandwiched Cotrone's 37-yard TD run. He finished with 143 yards on 10 carries - his second straight 100+-yard game.

Mike Williams led the defense with five tackles, and Pat Dreiss made all six of his extra-point attempts.

Jaylen Amaker scored on runs of 15 and 73 yards in the fourth quarter for Mount St. Michael (4-4).
