Ian Green leads Jericho past Friends Academy

Ian Green was 2-for-3 with 23 yards and a touchdown and ran for 24 yards and a score to lead Jericho in a 25-8 win over Friends Academy in Nassau V football Saturday.

Donovan Condon added 93 yards and a touchdown, and Josh Harris rushed for 103 yards.

Defensive tackle Jaison White had six tackles, including one in the end zone for a safety, and recovered a fumble. Akarsh Narang, Andrew Adrian and Jeffrey White also recovered fumbles, and linebacker Spencer Shapiro made seven tackles.

Port Washington 30, Roslyn 14: James Burns was 10-for-15 with 138 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 85 yards to lead Port Washington, which earned its first win in three years in Nassau V. Burns hit Michael Gennusa on a go route for a 38-yard touchdown that put the Vikings up 22-6 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter. Vincent Miscioscia had five tackles and an interception.

Long Island Lutheran 43, Great Neck South 6: Tiquan Garner had two carries for 194 yards and two touchdowns to lead Long Island Lutheran in Nassau V. Garner first scored on a 96-yard run with 10:22 left in the first quarter to open the scoring and followed with a 98-yard scoring run in the second quarter. Elijah Walters had nine tackles and scored on a 44-yard run in the third quarter.
