Jala Coad scored his fourth touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run with 33 seconds remaining to put Amityville (1-2) up by four in its 32-22 win over Bayport-Blue Point Saturday in Suffolk IV.
Coad ran for 160 yards. Enroy Toney returned an interception 80 yards on the game’s final play to preserve the win.
The Amityville defense made a stop on third down near midfield with a little more than a minute remaining before Coad ran 40 yards to the 1-yard line to set up the final touchdown.
Mount Sinai 35, Mercy 0: Dominick Boscarino completed 2 of 5 passes for 68 yards and two touchdown passes to lead Mount Sinai (2-1). Jojo Pirecca rushed for 145 yards on nine carries with two touchdowns.
Matt LoMonaco had three carries for 41 yards with one touchdown, Kevin Johnston ran for 85 yards on six carries and Jared Donnelly had a 19-yard touchdown catch. George Rainer had three receptions for 41 yards and one touchdown. Colin McCarthy went 5-for-5 on PATs. LoMonaco also made six tackles.
Glenn 41, Center Moriches 14: Brett Ryan ran for 170 yards with two touchdowns and intercepted a pass to lead Glenn.
Kyle Szokoli completed nine of 12 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns and Justin Tiernan had five catches for 90 yards and two touchdowns.
Christian Varlack caught a touchdown and had an interception and Gio Rinaldi made eight tackles, an interception and a sack for Glenn (2-1).
Southampton-Pierson 28, Greenport-Southold 14: Micah Snowden had seven tackles, including two for a loss, and three sacks and Shawn Stelling threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score to lead Southampton-Pierson (1-2).
Shoreham-Wading River 49, Wyandanch 12: Xavier Arline had six carries for 150 yards rushing and three touchdowns, and Kyle Boden added 12 carries for 108 yards and three scores for SWR (3-0).
Liam Mahoney and Dan Curtin had two sacks each and Ethhan Baumak added an interception. Dom Visintin had 52 yards on six carries and Tyler McAuley was 7-for-7 on PATs.
