King leads Hampton Bays over Mercy

Robbie King went 8-for-8 for 101 yards and a TD and rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns on four carries as Hampton Bays (4-3) defeated Mercy (2-4) Saturday, 55-6, in Division IV.

The Baymen rushed for 303 yards. Igor Leide had 12 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Tracy Kennedy carried five times for 61 yards and two touchdowns for the Baymen.

Bayport-Blue Point 13, Greenport/Southold 7: Jack Sheehan ran for 225 yards and a touchdown to lead Bayport-Blue Point (5-2). His 5-yard score midway through the second quarter gave the Phantoms a 13-0 lead. Tom Filipkowski's fourth-quarter, 33-yard scoring pass to Taylor Lindsay drew the Porters to within six.

Southampton 26, Wyandanch 6: Teague Florio ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns to lead Southampton (3-4). Patrick Tuths rushed for 84 yards and a TD with two catches for 16 yards. Defensive tackle Malcolm Williams had eight tackles and a sack, and Strong Heart Warrior had six tackles and an INT and Robert Porco had six tackles.

Center Moriches 51, Stony Brook 13: Myles Bell ran 11 times for 105 yards and four touchdowns to lead Center Moriches (3-4) in Division IV. Bell ran for all four touchdowns in the first half, on runs of 4, 18, 16 and 9, leading Center Moriches to a 31-7 halftime lead. Mike Covello had five rushes for 77 yards and a touchdown and made an interception. Keith Treadwell had nine tackles and two sacks. Stony Brook is 0-7.

Babylon 42, Port Jefferson 0: Sam Zamet was 4-for-5 for 116 yards and ran for 26 yards and a touchdown to lead Babylon (5-2). Trevor Fudim ran for 52 yards and two touchdowns, leading a rushing attack that racked up 265 yards and seven touchdowns on 53 carries. Port Jefferson is 3-4.
