Long Island's top 100 high school football players are listed below in alphabetical order. This year's list includes last season's Thorp Award winner and Long Island's all-time career touchdown pass record holder.

JOHNNIE AKINS, Roosevelt, RB/LB 5-10, 195, Sr.: It's no secret who the Rough Riders' primary back is. He had 2,292 yards and 21 touchdowns.

RYAN ALEXANDER, Holy Trinity, TE/DE, 6-4, 240, Sr.: Alexander is a powerful player on both sides of the ball, and will be a threat at tight end next to the Titans' very experienced offensive line.

TOM AMMIRATI, DE/TE, 6-1, 210, Farmingdale, Sr.: Excellent two-way starter for the defending Nassau I champions.

TYLER ANDERSON, Shoreham-Wading River, HB/LB 6-3,210, Sr.: The halfback in the Wildcats' pistol formation, the all-division selection ran for 14 TDs last year, four in the first round of the playoffs.

BILLY ANDRLE, FB/LB, East Meadow, 5-11, 230, Sr.: Thorp Award winner with 1,307 yards rushing, 23 TDs; made 49 tackles.

REGGIE ARCHER, Mercy, RB/DB, 5-10, 185, Jr.: An impact player on both sides of the ball, Archer racked up 1,084 yards on 166 carries and added 20 tackles to help carry the Monarchs' secondary.

NICK BALZANO, WR/LB, Massapequa, 6-0, 190, Sr.: Leader of defense with 104 tackles and 6 sacks. Also caught 2 TD passes.

CRAIG BERGE, WR/DB, Massapequa, 6-1, 175, Sr.: Georgetown-bound lacrosse star caught 51 catches with 9 TD passes.

MICHAEL BIANCO, Eastport-South Manor, FB/LB, 5-10, 225, Sr.: A tremendous run-stopper that tallied 118 tackles last season.

JAKE BIRO, Ward Melville, QB, 6-0, 210, Sr.: He rushed for 10 TDs and passed for 12 more as a junior.

PETER BRASILE, Wantagh, MLB/FB, 5-11, 200, Sr.: A menace at linebacker, Brasile is a known run-stuffer who also is skilled in pass coverage. Brasile helped lead the Warriors to the county final.

MATT BRUTUS, Elmont, LB/WR, 6-2, 185, Sr.: The rangy, hard-hitting linebacker had 65 tackles and two interceptions last season. Brutus' speed, pass-rushing skills and ability to make plays behind the line of scrimmage have earned him several college suitors.

CHRIS BUCHALSKI, Miller Place, OT/DE, 6-5, 275, Sr.: Villanova-bound lineman blocks well and puts pressure on quarterbacks.

BRIAN BURKE, Lynbrook, OL/LB, 6-0, 220, Sr.: Burke was part of an Owls offensive line that rushed for more 2,400 yards last season.

LEVAR BUTTS, Huntington, RB/LB, 5-10, 205, Sr.: Breakaway speed makes him explosive on both sides of the ball.

JOE CAPOBIANCO, Lawrence, QB, 5-11, 205, Sr.: The senior threw for 2,609 yards and 38 touchdowns last season.

NICK CAPUANA, Massapequa, RB/DB, 5-10, 175, Sr.: Versatile two-way starter, who gets the tough yardage after contact.

JAKE CARLOCK, Babylon, WR/DB, 6-2, 200, Sr.: Last year, Carlock made 32 catches for 650 yards and 11 touchdowns, connecting with quarterback Nick Santorelli again and again to help make Babylon unstoppable.

MATT CARACAPPA, Massapequa, QB, 6-0, 180, Sr.: Senior signal caller has lit it up for two games, throwing for 306 yards and five touchdowns.

RAY CATAPANO, Carey, QB, 6-2, 175, Sr.: He completed 63 percent of his passes and threw for 1,381 yards and 17 touchdowns last season after becoming the Seahawks' signal-caller in Week 3, leading them to the semifinals. Catapano holds the school single-game record with 361 passing yards.

SEAN CERRONE, Chaminade, QB, 6-0, 185, Sr.: Cerrone earned the starting QB job for Chaminade in Week 2 of last season and led the Flyers all the way to the CHSFL AAA championship.

JEREMIAH CHEATOM, Riverhead, RB/LB, 6-1, 205, Sr.: Was Suffolk's leading rusher with 1,901 yards and 14 touchdowns. Averaged 7.2 yards per carry.

MATT CHOINSKI, Glenn, OL/DL 6-4, 250, Sr.: One of the best lineman in the county, Choinski led the way for a then-inexperienced Glenn offense that made the playoffs.

TARIQ COLE, Long Beach, OT, 6-8, 360, Sr.: An imposing and dominating left tackle, Cole was an All-Long Island selection last year who has received Division I college interest.

MIKE CORTESE, Mount Sinai, RB/LB, 5-10, 220, Sr.: Cortese, the team's leading tackler, also had three sacks last year - not a bad portend, considering he'll be doing a lot of the work on offense this year, too.

JOE COSBY, Babylon, OG/DT, 6-3, 295, Jr.: Already a two-year starter, he benches presses 425 pounds and is a stalwart on both sides of the ball.

CONNOR COUGHLIN, Patchogue-Medford, WR, 6-1, 190, Sr.: Finalist for receiver and defensive back awards as a junior. Physical, great hands and led LI in receptions in 2012.

TRENT CROSSAN, Sachem North, RB, 5-10, 190, Sr.: He scored 7 TDs and the winning two-point conversion in a 63-62 win over Bay Shore. He returns from a season-ending ACL injury.

JOHN DANIGGELIS, Smithtown East, QB, 6-0, 175, Jr.: Counted on to run a no-huddle spread offense. Passed for just under 1,000 yards and ran for just under 1,000 yards as a sophomore.

TYLER DAVIS, Mepham, QB, 6-4, 200, Jr.: He threw for 1,205 yards and eight touchdowns, averaged 6.5 yards per carry and added three rushing scores as a sophomore last season. At 6-4 with a strong arm, and a bevy of solid weapons, Davis can excel in the Pirates' spread offense and explode this season.

KYLE DRISCOLL, Kellenberg, QB, 6-1, 195, Sr.: Driscoll threw for 2,185 yards and 19 TDs in 10 games for Kellenberg last season.

NICK ENGLISH, Wantagh, DT/OG, 5-9, 225, Sr.: With a wrestling background, strong leverage and sound technique, English has emerged as a dominant lineman, on both sides of the ball. He is among the best playmakers at defensive tackle.

CHIKA EWULU, TE/DE, East Meadow, 6-3, 220, Sr.: Big target with excellent hands; Had 4 sacks, 35 tackles.

CHRIS FAISON, Floyd, RB, 5-10, 185, Sr.: He rushed for 953 yards and nine TDs as Floyd marched to the Class I Long Island championship.

CHRISTIAN FERRUZZA, Bethpage, QB/LB., 6-1, 177, Sr.: Ferruzza rushed for four touchdowns and threw for three last season.

JORDAN FREDERICKS, Lawrence, RB/WR/DB, 5-11, 190, Jr.: Fredericks amassed over 2,000 all-purpose yards last season and scored 21 touchdowns.

NICK FRENGER, Plainedge, QB, 5-10, 190, Sr.: The four-year starter threw for over 1000 yards passing last year.

ZACH GEER, TE/OLB, 6-4, 210, Sachem East, Sr.: Had 44 tackles with eight sacks and two fumble recoveries.

JORDAN GOWINS, St. Anthony's, RB, 6-1, 215, Jr.: Gowins took the CHSFL by storm as a sophomore and is expected to be one of the league's most exciting players with his speed and strength.

MATT GRASSA, North Babylon, OL/LB, 6-0, 218, Sr.: Had 77 tackles and seven sacks. Rushed for 472 yards with six touchdowns.

LOGAN GRECO, Smithtown West, HB, 6-1, 210, Sr.: Scored six touchdowns in first two games and rushed for 392 yards -- key to Bulls offense.

JARON GREENIDGE, FS/FB, 5-11, 180, Riverhead, Sr.: One of the key elements to the Blue Waves run to the Suffolk Division II title.

BRYAN GRESALFI, OL/DL, 6-3, 180, Sr.: The anchor of a line that could lead the Flaming Arrows to the school's first Class I title.

MARCUS GUTIERREZ, RB/LB, 5-8, 175, Sr.: Opened the season by breaking the school record for yards rushed in a game with 306 and three touchdowns in a win over Patchogue-Medford.

BRETT HALL, Northport, FB/LB, 6-3, 210, Sr.: Three-year, two-way starter for the Tigers. Very athletic player, who will captain an experienced defense.

DYLAN HARNED, Newfield, QB/S, 6-2, 180, Sr.: Had been a very reliable defensive back before taking snaps and completing 60 percent of his passes.

MATT HELDBERG, Smithtown West, QB, 6-2, 190, Sr.: Showed a lot of promise as a sophomore and was the starter last year as a junior, but suffered a torn ACL in the opener.

CORTLAND HENEVELD, East Hampton, QB/LB 6-3, 215, Sr.: Heneveld was a both on land and in the air, racking up six rushing scores and seven more passing touchdowns over 1379 yards total.

BOBBY HEYWARD, East Islip, OG/DT, 5-10, 240, Sr.: One of the area's top lineman, he had 87 tackles -- including 15 for a loss of yards -- and seven sacks.

SAM ILARIO, West Islip, QB, 6-0, 215, Sr.: Had 18 rushing touchdowns and 930 yards. Also passed for more than 800 yards with nine touchdowns. Suffered a serious ankle injury during the playoffs.

CURTIS JENKINS, RB/S, Farmingdale, 6-1, 185, Sr.: Game-breaker ran for 1,230 yards and 12 TDs. Dangerous returner.

JAWAN JENKINS, Floyd, DL/TE, 6-1, 215, Sr.: Sack master for Colonials defense with speed off the edge. He recorded through six sacks in two games this season.

CONNOR JOHNSON, FS/RB, Oceanside, 5-11, 170, Sr.: Active in the secondary with 82 tackles and 2 interceptions.

LOUIE JOKINSKY, Locust Valley, RB/DB, 6-0, 185, Sr.: Returning Honorable Mention All-County running back looks to improve on his 975 yards rushing, five touchdowns and 27 tackles made last season.

ELIJAH JONES, Lawrence, WR/LB, 6-2, 220, Sr.: Jones made 44 tackles, including three sacks, in eight games last year.

RAYMOND JONES, Roosevelt, TE/LB, 6-3, 210, Sr.: A stellar blocking tight end who finished '12 with 11 sacks and 68 tackles--12 for a loss.

SIMON JONES, Lawrence, RB/LB, 6-1, 245, Jr.: Jones had 103 tackles last season, including nine sacks.

BEN KOCIS, Huntington, QB, 6-2, 190, Sr.: Has a strong and accurate arm and the ability to read defenses and scramble.

KYLE KOLODINSKY, Seaford, RB/DB, 6-2, 190, Sr.: Big-time playmaker in the Power-I formation.

ZACH KOLODNY, Farmingdale, K, 6-1, 160, Sr.: One of the top kickers on Long Island. Reliable from 35 yards and in on field goals.

JACK KORBER, RB/DB, Massapequa, 5-7, 165, Sr.: Ran for 732 yards (8 TDs); added 324 receiving yards (5 TDs).

JAMES KRETKOWSKI, OL/DL, Oceanside, 6-6, 290, Sr.: Big-time Division I college prospect. Powerful two-way lineman.

NICK CUCITI, OT/DT, 6-4, 225, MacArthur, Sr.: Two-way starter, key to Generals ground game.

ANDREW LAPREZIOSA, Smithtown West, RB/LB, 5-10, 175, Sr.: Athletic two-way starter gioves the Bulls a 1-2 backfield punch.

ANTHONY LEE, Patchogue-Medford, QB, 5-11, 170, Sr.: Fantastic arm in a spread offense that threw for five touchdowns and 547 yards in first two games.

AIDAN LYNCH, Chaminade, LB, 6-1, 195, Sr.: Lynch is the leader of a Chaminade defense that allowed fewer than 20 points in eight of 10 games last season.

KYLE MATHIE, Smithtown West, WR/FS, 6-3, 195, Jr.: A tall receiver with a lot of speed, he caught 20 passes for 410 yards, and had five interceptions on the defensive side.

RYAN MAZZIE, Bay Shore, QB, 6-1, 180, Sr.: Opened this season by throwing for four touchdowns a school record 344 yards in a win over Smithtown East. No Bay Shore quarterback in 697 games over 85 years had ever thrown for 300 yards in a game.

TIM MCDONAGH, Garden City, LB/RB, 6-0, 200, Sr.: The Trojans senior captain is a do-it-all running back and is a fundamentally-sound linebacker who has the range and instincts to anchor what has long been an elite defense.

ENRIQUE MCFARLANE, West Hempstead, RB/LB, 6-1, 210, Sr.: One of the main components in the double-wing offense that rushed for 770 yards and 10 touchdowns last season, while making 70 tackles.

JAQUAN MOORE, Bay Shore, WR, 6-2, 180, Sr.: Breakaway threat with great hands. Had three TDs in season opener.

BRYAN MORRIS, Sachem North, K, 5-9, 180, Sr.: The four-year starter is on pace to break the Long Island scoring record for kickers. He has 132 points, 49 shy of Sean Moller's (EI) record.

TYLER NASON, Connetquot, WR, 5-10, 180, Sr.: The elusive receiver had 38 catches for 621 yards and nine TDs. He had an average of 16.3 yards per catch.

ADE NELSON, Comsewogue, RB/DB, 6-0, 2-5, Sr.: A physical runner that can around opponents or through them.

JAMES O'HAGAN, Seaford, DT/OT, 6-3, 290, Sr. The lead blocker and the focal point of the offense.

ROB OLIVER, OT/DT, 6-0, 200, Plainedge, Sr.: Two-way starter, who excelled on defense with 35 tackles and five sacks.

BRETT OSMAN, Miller Place, RB/DB, 5-11, 185, Sr.: A slasher with great vision who finds gaps between the tackles.

CHRIS PARLER, Long Beach, WR/RB/DB/QB, 5-9, 180, Jr.: Parler is a ballhawk as a defensive back and his explosiveness has made him a threat as a runner and receiver on offense.

RYAN PERKINS, Glen Cove, RB/SS, 5-11, 185, Sr.: Perkins ran for 630 yards on 91 carries and scored 10 touchdowns last season.

MALIK PIERRE, Sachem North, RB, 5-11, 205, Sr.: He accounted for 5 TDs, including an 89-yard kickoff return, rushed for 201 yards and threw two HB option passes for TDs in win over Connetquot.

LAWSON PRENDERGAST, St. John the Baptist, LB, 5-11, 215, Sr.: Prendergast won the CHSFL AA/A defensive player of the year last season, where he had 87 tackles, five sacks and three interceptions.

MALCOLM PRIDGEON, Central Islip, OT/DT, 6-7, 285, Sr.: One of the area's top D-I recruits. Had 39 tackles with three sacks. Also had 30 pancake blocks.

BRYAN REED, Mount Sinai, OL/DL, 6-3, 295, Sr.: Reed, who accepted a full scholarship to Delaware, is a bruising lineman who can benchpress 410 pounds, and a defensive leader on a stingy Mustangs squad.

MATT ROBISON, Carey, DB/WR/S, 5-11, 170, Sr.: He is a game-breaking receiver who can stretch the field. Robison had 48 receptions and a school-record eight receiving touchdowns last season, and he is capable of surpassing both totals.

NICK SANTORELLI, Babylon, QB, 5-9, 180, Sr.: As a junior, Santorelli led the Panthers to a perfect season (12-0) and the Class IV LIC. He holds almost all school career passing records.

ERIC SCHWEITZER, Babylon, RB/LB, 5-10, 185, Sr.: Schweitzer is best known for scoring six touchdowns in the Long Island championship victory, but the offensive dynamo is also a huge asset on defense. He had 85 tackles and linebacker.

MATTHEW SELTS, Sayville, RB/DB, 5-10, 165, Sr.: A shifty back who explodes into cuts and eludes tacklers.

PATRICK SHEPPARD, Islip, G/DE, 6-0, 250, Sr.: Great speed for his size helps keep quarterbacks on the run.

ROB SPERANZA, Chaminade RB, 5-10, 190, Sr.: Speranza is Chaminade's top returning rusher and will be a focal point of the Flyers' offense again this season.

DONOVAN STEELE, West Hempstead, TE/DE, 6-5, 240, Sr.: Provides stability in the Rams' 4-3 defense.

BRETT STEWART, Garden City, QB, 6-0, 190, Sr.: The dual-threat quarterback set school records passing for 1,676 yards and 23 touchdowns, and ran for 919 yards and nine TDs, leading the Trojans to a fourth straight county title and the Class II Long Island championship.

JASAWN THOMPSON, Deer Park, 6-3, 220, RB/LB, Jr.: One of the top players in Class of 2015. Had 390 yards and four touchdowns in two games to start senior season.

JOSH VALENTIN, Commack, LB/TE, 6-4, 250, Sr.: Transfer student will make a major impact in the division. D-I blue chip prospect.

KEVIN VANDERMARK, DE/DL, Farmingdale, 6-0, 290, Sr.: Anchor on both sides of ball for conference's No. 2 seed.

SEAN WALTERS, Amityville, QB, 5-8, 150, Sr.: Can pick a defense apart with his strong arm or his quick feet.

TYLER WARNER, QB, Baldwin, 5-10, 175, Sr.: Expects to improve on his 640 yards passing and 7 TD passes.

ISAIAH WHITE, Longwood, RB/DB, 5-11, 200, Jr.: As a sophomore he burst onto the varsity level with 642 yards rushing and nine touchdowns on 147 carries.

JAKE WISWALL, St. John the Baptist, RB/LB, 6-1, 225, Sr.: Wiswall a rushed for 525 yards and five TDs last season, while also making 58 tackles with four sacks.

DANNY WOLFF, Sachem North, QB/DB, 6-2, 180, Sr.: He threw for 1,106 yards and eight scores to lead the Flaming Arrows to the division final.

ZACH WOLFE, Mount Sinai, TB/DB, 5-10, 180, Sr.: Elusive back who had five touchdowns and 396 yards through first two games this season.

KYLE ZIEGLER, LB, 6-0, 215, West Islip: Hard hitter to lead a young Lions defense.
