Long Beach, junior
A power runner with speed who ran for 500 yards and four touchdowns, Tyreek Bromley provides versatility in the backfield with his ability to catch the ball and block.
Wide receiver/defensive back
With speed, strength, and good hands, Aston Brown is a difficult cover in the passing game. He totaled 435 receiving yards and eight touchdowns last season. Brown also is a shutdown cornerback.
Offensive lineman/defensive lineman
Stony Brook-bound run-blocking specialist Anthony Catapano is looking to lead Carey to a third straight Long Island title. He anchors both sides of the line.
Mike Catanese is an athletic and mobile quarterback who threw for 1,516 yards and 21 touchdowns, ran for 807 yards and nine touchdowns and guided the Long Island Class II champs to an unbeaten season as a junior.
Garden City, senior
Running back/defensive back
A speedy and physical runner with great field vision, Brian Haeffner ran for 1,202 yards and 16 touchdowns while helping Garden City advance to the county championship game.
Jimmy Kelleher has a strong arm, even when rolling to his left, and threw for 1,175 yards and 6 touchdowns last season. He?s tough to tackle on the tuck and run, and he rushed for 12 touchdowns.
An aggressive and athletic runner with breakaway speed, Shalike Merchant can make cuts on a dime and is difficult to bring down. He ran for 10 touchdowns and just over 1,100 yards last season.
A tight end who catches everything, Corey Sachs led the Warriors with 387 receiving yards last season. He has great instincts on both sides of the ball. Sachs had four interceptions and 58 tackles at linebacker.
Fast and elusive, Elijah Tracey can break free on the option. He had over 1,400 all-purpose yards, 13 passing touchdowns and six rushing touchdowns. Tracey is a strong man-to-man defender in the secondary.
Jared Wolfe is a deep threat who runs solid routes and has great hands. He had 36 receptions for 381 yards and four touchdowns last season.
