Brian Mondella’s interception in the end zone with 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter sealed MacArthur’s 27-20 win over Long Beach yesterday in Nassau II. Long Beach had driven to MacArthur’s 16. Kyle Acquavella ran for 72 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries and converted three extra points. Tom Cummings ran for 56 yards and a touchdown on eight carries for MacArthur (5-3).

Carey 40, Bellmore JFK 23: Shaheem Taylor-Wright ran for 258 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries to lead Carey (6-2). Dan Conte completed 8 of 16 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and ran for 58 yards on 10 carries. Samer Ciftcikal had two sacks..

Elmont 32, Jericho 14: Aaron Ruthman completed 13 of 24 passes for 204 yards and four touchdowns to lead Elmont (6-2). Chester Anderson caught four passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns and Lucas Mathieu had six receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Joshua Milfort St. Cyr ran for 73 yards.

Garden City 42, Mepham 6: Chris Mixon rushed for 80 yards on seven carries with two touchdowns to lead Garden City (8-0). Jack Bill completed three passes for 50 yards and two touchdowns and Colin Hart completed three passes for 47 yards and a score. Andrew DeSantis had two receptions for 39 yards and two touchdowns. Jamie Atkinson had a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown and Liam Muldoon also added an interception.

Herricks 35, Sewanhaka 0: Mike Lee completed 9 of 14 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown and caught a 60-yard touchdown pass from Mike Saleme to lead Herricks (4-4). Saleme caught eight passes for 134 yards and a touchdown and Mike Chase ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries and returned a fumble for a score. Mike Scaldaferri had 11 tackles and a sack.

Manhasset 49, Great Neck North 22: Jack Tortora ran for 110 yards and two touchdowns and William Theodoropoulos had 117 all-purpose yards to lead Manhasset (2-6).
