Osman runs for 4 TDs, record 307 yards for Miller Place

Running back Brett Osman set a school record with 307 rushing yards and scored four touchdowns on 14 carries to lead Miller Place in a 55-6 win over Kings Park yesterday in Suffolk III football.

The Panthers (3-0) also set a team rushing record with 512 total yards, according to coach Ron Petrie. Osman broke long touchdown runs of 66 yards, 72 yards and 37 yards as Miller Place raced to a 41-0 lead. The senior racked up 272 yards in the first half. Miller Place totaled 426 yards against Southampton in 2007, and Elijah Navarro ran for 273 yards in a game against Huntington in 2003 to set the former records.

Andrew Bailey ran for 31 yards and two touchdowns and had two sacks for the Panthers. Joe Santoro rushed for 62 yards and a TD and had an interception. Ethan Fox and Joe Filippetti each had 10 tackles and Cole Walters had three sacks.

Kings Park is 0-3.

Huntington 27, Amityville 12: Christian Jamison had nine catches for 119 yards and a touchdown to lead Huntington (3-0). Ben Kocis completed 21 of 28 passes for 277 yards one TD and ran for 14 yards and two scores. Infinite Tucker had six catches for 118 yards and an interception in the win. Amityville is 1-2.

Comsewogue 28, Harborfields 14: Ade Nelson ran for 223 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries to lead Comsewogue (1-2). Nelson's first touchdown was a 1-yard run in the third that gave Comsewogue a 14-7 lead. Willem Doutney had nine tackles and a fumble recovery in the win. Harborfields drops to 0-3.

Hauppauge 21, Deer Park 7: Nick Mildon completed 8 of 12 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns to lead Hauppauge (3-0) on Friday night. Mike Basil had two TD receptions and Bill Kopsky had a scoring catch. Anthony Andersen had two interceptions and seven tackles, Dom Holder had 10 tackles and a sack and Justin Zelen had six stops and two sacks in the win. Deer Park is 2-1.

Islip 30, Bellport 23: Wynell Michaud caught a 10-yard touchdown pass from Kieran Mullins with 28 seconds left to win it for Islip (2-1). Mullins rushed for 90 yards on 12 carries and completed nine passes for 254 yards and two touchdowns. Tim Going had five receptions for 150 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Islip falls to 2-1.
