Ray Catapano went 15-for-23 for 175 yards with four touchdowns for Carey in a 34-10 win over Calhoun Saturday in Nassau II football.
Matt Robison had five catches for 93 yards and a touchdown and Dylan DeMeo added six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown and went 4-for-5 on extra points for Carey (4-2).
Michael DeLeo rushed for 67 yards on eight carries with a touchdown. Matt Lucito had eight tackles and a sack and Conor Colasurdo had six tackles. Calhoun is 1-5.
Mepham 42, Westbury 0: Tyler Davis went 9-for-15 for 185 yards with a touchdown and rushed for a score threw for Mepham. Davis capped a 12-play, 87-yard opening drive with a 42-yard touchdown pass to Yianni Hilas to put Mepham on the board with 8:03 left in the first.
Davis converted two fourth downs to keep that drive alive with first-down runs, and on the team's next possession scored on a 10-yard run to make it 14-0. Davis finished with 65 rushing yards on seven carries.
Ian Avanzato rushed for the next two touchdowns and finished with 87 yards on 11 carries. Chris Durkan led the team with seven tackles, had a sack and recovered a fumble. Corey Heller had two sacks and blocked a punt, and Joe Aliberti had two sacks and a fumble recovery. Westbury is 1-5.Bellmore JFK 27, Herricks 0: Chris Jones had 12 tackles and Ralph Faiella forced two turnovers for Bellmore JFK (2-4). With Bellmore JFK leading 14-0 in the first quarter, Jones forced a fumble that was recovered by Faiella at the Herricks 28-yard line and returned it for a touchdown. Faiella later intercepted a pass in the second half.
Michael McCormick contributed with six pass deflections, as Bellmore JFK stopped Herricks twice in the red zone to preserve the shutout.
Bellmore JFK rushed for 261 yards. Herricks is 1-5.
Wantagh 21, New Hyde Park 7: Roddy Roche went 8 of 11 for 121 yards and two touchdowns and also returned a fumble 45 yards for a touchdown in the first half to lead Wantagh (5-1). Roche also helped seal the win in the second half with two interceptions.
Brandon Watson ran the ball 22 times for 104 yards and caught three passes for 65 yards and a touchdown. Ralph Sommers had 11 tackles and a sack and Peter Brasile had eight tackles in the win. New Hyde Park is 1-5.
