Seaford's Justin Buckley (32) celebrates his second quarter

Seaford's Justin Buckley (32) celebrates his second quarter touch down with Billy Papdimas (70) as Joe Kirincic (9) and Travis Langan joins in. Seaford beat North Shore in the Nassau Division IV semifinal, 35-0. (Nov. 13, 2010) Credit: Kathy Kmonicek

We're back here at Hofstra for the Conference IV final between No. 1 Seaford (10-0) and No. 2 Roosevelt (9-1).

UPDATE (1:00 left in the game): Roosevelt closes it to a 28-25 game, as Colter hit Khalil Wilson for a 12-yard touchdown to the back left corner of the end zone on third-and-goal. They (not smartly) went for two, but the pass failed incomplete.

The Rough Riders couldn't recover the onside kick. Seaford is going to win its fourth straight Nassau Conference IV title.

UPDATE (2:01 left in the game): Buckley gained five yards on third down and then Kirincic rolled out right and hit Brian Gilbert for a 15-yard touchdown. After an illegal procedure on the conversion, Arena drilled the extra point to give Seaford a 28-19 lead

UPDATE (2:16 left in the game): Seaford faced a fourth-and-1 on the 24-yard line, but Roosevelt jumped offside giving the Vikings a first down. Currently, they are faced with a third-and-11 on the 20 after a false start.

UPDATE (5:01 left in the game): Roosevelt lost a combined 32 yards on two plays on bad/mishandled snaps to bring up a third-and-42. On that play, Colter heaved up a prayer and Jared Saperstein intercepted it for Seaford, giving the Vikings the ball on their own 30 with 9:56 left in the game.

The Vikings have driven down to the Roosevelt 30, but a holding penalty pushed them back to the 40 with 5:01 left in the fourth quarter.

UPDATE (end of the third quarter): Roosevelt is on the move. They have moved down to the Seaford 13-yard line. But it remains a two-point Seaford lead as we head into the fourth quarter.

UPDATE (4:35 left in the third): Seaford's nine-play drive stalled on the Roosevelt 31-yard line, as Kirincic could only pick up five yards on a scramble on fourth-and-6. Roosevelt takes over first-and-10 on its own 31.

UPDATE (9:13 left in the third): Seaford kicked onside again to start the second half, but Roosevelt recovered. On the third play of the drive, Colter hit Sanders on another bomb, this time for 48 yards on third-and-16 from their own 44. Two plays later, Parker ran a sweep left for a 5-yard TD, but he was stuffed in the backfield on the two-point try. Seaford still leads, 21-19.

UPDATE (halftime): Colter is intercepted by Anthony Marino and Seaford takes a knee. At the half, the Vikings lead 21-13.

UPDATE (37 seconds left in the half): Arena recovered an onside kick for Seaford, and Buckley capped a five-play drive with a 38-yard run shaking and baking through the Roosevelt defense to give the Vikings a 21-13 lead. What a turn of events here at Hofstra.

UPDATE (1:06 left in the half): Just like that, Seaford leads by one. Colter fumbled on a fourth-and-6 from the Seaford 25 and Pat Conroy recovered for the Vikings on their own 23. On the first play of the ensuing drive, Buckley busted a run up the gut for 67 yards. Colter chased him down at the 5-yard line. Two plays later, Travis Langan jumped over the line from a yard out for a touchdown. Arena added the extra point to make it 14-13 Seaford with 1:06 left in the quarter.

UPDATE (4:28 left in the half): Roosevelt couldn't convert a fourth-and-12 and Seaford took over on its own 31. Justin Buckley (pictured celebrating above) picked up the team's first first down on a 12-yard run. They also completed a forth-and-4 on a screen from Kirincic to Travis Langan.

John Troisi capped the drive with a 16-yard touchdown run. Daniel Arena hit the extra point and it's now 13-7 Roosevelt.

UPDATE (end of the first quarter): Seaford failed to convert a fourth-and-4 (QB Joe Kirincic only gained three on a sweep left), and Roosevelt is driving again. They start the first quarter up by two scores.

UPDATE (2:23 left in the first quarter): Seaford again goes three-and-out, and Roosevelt takes over on its own 43. After a 5-yard penalty, Colter threw a deep bomb to Sanders for a 48-yard TD. That PAT misses, but it's now 13-0 Roosevelt. That seems to be the winning combo this afternoon.

UPDATE (6:03 left in the first quarter): Roosevelt gets on the board with a remarkable play. Donte Colter took the snap and rolled out left looking to pass. He didn't see anything downfield, so he reversed field, picked up a block and heaved a 23-yard touchdown pass to Marquell Sanders. Erin Parker added the PAT and the Rough Riders lead 7-0.

UPDATE (10:30 left in the first quarter): Seaford goes three-and-out. Roosevelt takes over on its own 25.
