Steven Casali rushed 12 times for 213 yards and a touchdown to lead Sachem East to a 21-0 win over Brentwood yesterday in Suffolk I. Casali, after missing two weeks with a concussion, also had eight tackles and two pass deflections on defense. Kenny Whigham had 13 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown for Sachem East (4-4). Michael Marchello had 11 tackles and Connor Farrell added 10. Ryan Dippell returned the opening kickoff of the second half 91 yards for a TD to put Sachem East ahead 14-0. Brentwood is 1-7.

Northport 49, Ward Melville 19: John Trainor rushed for 125 yards on nine carries and two TDs, including an 80-yard score on the first play from scrimmage to lift Northport (6-2). Cody Swing had nine carries for 60 yards and three TDs, and Brett Hall had three rushes for 85 yards, including a 79-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to make the score 42-7. Northport rushed for 400 yards and seven rushing touchdowns. Sean Gilroy went 5 of 10 for 102 yards. Ken Radigan had two interceptions, and Hall, Matt Nicolai and Lucas Savocchi each had an interception. Alex Egglinger and Pat Cowcer each had a fumble recovery as Northport forced seven turnovers. Ward Melville is 5-3.

Floyd 41, Lindenhurst 7: A.J. Otranto went 7 of 11 for 91 yards and a touchdown pass, and ran for 32 yards on four carries with a TD for Floyd (6-2). Lindenhurst is 2-6. Longwood 30, Central Islip 24: Isiah White scored on a 9-yard run with 2:24 left in the game as Longwood (3-5) scored 30 unanswered points to win in Suffolk I. White scored on an 11-yard run in the third quarter to pull Longwood within 24-8. Richard Wickwire scored on a 26-yard pass from Matthew McKeon in the fourth quarter and White scored on a 6-yard run to tie the score at 24. Central Islip is 0-4.
