Steven Orkiszewski caught a 60-yard pass on a post corner route to break a tie at 15 for Glenn, which scored 36 unanswered points to defeat Hampton Bays, 43-15, in a Suffolk IV football opener.

Orkiszewski, a safety, added a 37-yard interception return in the third quarter, leading to TJ Tiernan's 3-yard scoring run. With five minutes left in the fourth, he returned a punt 40 yards for the Kights' final score.

He had two punt returns for 73 yards, two catches for 95 yards, and two tackles. Tom Balacki went 5-for-11 for 125 yards and a touchdown, while Tiernan and Micahel Mannix, both inside linebackers, had seven tackles apiece. Outside linebacker Domenique Grange had five tackles.

Down 15-7, Keeshawn Boodie scored on a 20-yard run in the first drive of the third quarter; David Wicks' catch from Balacki to tie the score.Shoreham-Wading River 46, Mercy 0:Tyle Anderson's 15-yard run with eight minutes left in the first quarter gave the Wildcats a 7-0 lead. Anderson ran for 100 yards on eight carries.

Shoreham-Wading River's defense returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Anderson returned an interception 60 yards with 4:30 left in the second quarter and Isreal Squires returned one 63 yards with nine minutes remaining in the third quarter.
